Questions about Colorado residency
California is a real stickler for getting a local ID, registration et al. I think there is a two week window.
Now I still have my GA ID, registration and CCW. How long do I have before the CO POPO gets antsy about all my credentials being from out of state? I still have a valid CO ID, my Porsche and motorcycle have vintage CO registrations. I have notified DMV of my new address as well as my insurance company. Thanks in advance. Please, no smartass replies....

You're probably fine, why not check at the DMV when they open on Tuesday? Which part are you concerned about, the CCW?

Colorado has CCW reciprocity with Georgia so I doubt you would have any issues. Do you even want to establish CO residency?

Most every state wants any new resident to register all vehicles ASAP for the tax revenue. They want you to get a state driver’s license and the fees for that, and to get your current address.
I would not go much past 30 days or expect a ticket for that if stopped. It is all about the taxes and fees.

My GA CCW is reciprocal with CO. I just hate to pay fees for something that is still valid even though from a different state.
I carry semi concealed. I.E. outside my pants with a oversized tee or jacket.....the bottom of the barrel peeking out but 80-90% covered. I plan on staying out of the nazi city of Lafayette completely. DMV is the least of my problems. When my Mercedes registration expires in june 2023.....I will renew it here. As I mentioned the p-car and bike are still CO registered. Not planning on going back to GA.....couldn't get laid in a whorehouse out there.

I know the biggest ticket Larimer County can write is living in the state without CO plates, my Sheriffs Dept neighbor told me it’s $1200 and that they don’t f around because the revenue from the ticket goes to them.

I cruised through 7y of college and grad school in Golden with MI license and plates. No grief from the officials though I was clearly sinning by the law books.
BTW, before plates, the first rule of moving to CO is after a week there you need to get the "native" bumper sticker and start complaining about all of the newcomers.

CCW can be sticky. If you plan on living in Colo for any length of time just change it all over and be done with it.
https://cbi.colorado.gov/sections/firearms-instacheck-unit/concealed-handgun-permit-chp-reciprocity The State of Colorado does not recognize the validity of a concealed carry permit issued by any state, to a nonresident of that state (see C.R.S 18-12-213, as amended in 2007). Specifically, state law requires the state of residency of the person and the state of issue of a permit to match as proven by a valid driver’s license or identification card issued by that same state. |

I have 90 days. Problem is that my bank has been sitting on their hands for six months sending the title for the Mercedes.
My other two vehicles are Colorado registered but are coming up for renewal. Since they are "vintage" I have to go into the office. Of course I can't do both at the same as they are 5 months apart. CCW, left a message with Sherriff.......
