Smart thermostat

I have a new smart thermo that I want to replace my old one with. There are 4 wires. 2 are obvious where I connect to, the other two I’m not sure. Attached are the existing set up (with wires) and the second is the new panel. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If my memory serves me there is at least a third wire referred to as the “C” wire.

If there are only two wires attached to the old thermostat you will need to connect at least one additional wire to the thermostat and furnace.

The wiring to my thermostat looked something like this. . .

You may need to run an additional wire to the furnace from the thermostat.

Sorry, 5 wires. White, green, red, yellow and Orange. I’m assuming the yellow and green go into Y and G. Red likely RC since originally is in R that has a bridge to RC. Orange to O/B. White I’m not sure.

Send a message via AIM to Gogar
Go to the furnace end and check the labeling on the furnace end and see if you can make sense of it with your new thermostat

Without knowing more about your new panel (brand/model), I would think:
Black to C
Yellow to Y1
Red to RH with a jumper to RC
Orange to O/B
Green to G
White to W/E
