How can anyone buy from Costco??

$4.99 a bird, my dog loves them! He eats 3 a week.

I don't think most chickens bred for food lead what anyone would consider a good or pampered life.
I suspect Costco isn't doing anything different from most.

Maybe they should hire someone to exercise them?

This is the norm with meat birds. They are so genetically modified that they grow to full size in under 3 months, their breasts and legs are 'designed' to be large.

What's better? This or eating egg birds that spend their life with 2 other chickens living in a wire cage that is about 2 foot cubed?

And people eat chicken because beef production is cruel...

While I was still in high school, I worked one summer for a local chicken farmer.
He had two coops that housed a few hundred hens each. The cages were suspended from the roof so that the manure would fall onto a conveyer for easy cleaning.

One night a thunderstorm caused all the hens to jump at the same time....down the cages came. Four other guys and myself had the job of pulling the trapped hens out of each cage and stuffing them into a truck for a new home. One of worst jobs I've ever had.

You know what this means? It means somebody filed a lawsuit. No more, no less. Some lawsuits have merit, and others do not. This one probably does not.

and the chickens still suffer.:D

I just went there for gas, salad mix and macadamia nuts. I never buy their rotisserie chickens. The local Fry's has better ones.

It could be worse. When you see that shopping cart that is overloaded with the 90 packs of TP, you just know it isnt going to end well for those TP sheets....

Last time I checked, the chicken I ate looked good and taste great. What’s the problem?
