Your annual summer migration plans

Where do you go each year?

August 1st is nearing. Enough time on the Colorado River.
Time to leave the heat of La Paz county AZ for the Pacific coast in Baja MX. for the whole month of August.
Yellowtail fishing is good that time of year by the Islands off of Ensenada. Guadalupe Valley Winery days are fun too.

I am ok with the summer but hate cold winters. Trying to escape for a month or two to Asia somewhere.
After reading the reviews about kiwi com on this site decided to go with them. Not many people know about that, but sometimes travel agencies can find you much cheaper tickets that you can find yourself online.

I attend the Porsche Club of America national convention, the Porsche Parade. This year it was in the Poconos of PA. My wife rode with me. For two long days just to get to Gettysburg.

I stopped in front of Little Round Top to get a photo of my car and the battle site in the background. After a full day at Gettysburg, we went on to Valley Forge and spent 1/2 a day there, then on into the resort for a week. It was a three day journey home. I wanted to push on and do it in two, but my wife said three.

It was 3,650 miles round trip over 10 days.

Fort Myers/Sanibel during Labor Day week. Been there that week for at least 20 years now.

I go there other times during the year, but Labor Day week is a given.

Summer is the busy time of year here so any trips I do are Fall and Spring. I actually enjoy the Winter in our Zone...

When we move to South Carolina, I plan on at least two months on the road in the high summer. I plan on staying in Washington State, parts of Montana, Idaho and San Diego in rotation. Two months each place during the summer and move on to the next place the following year.

I know the Washington State folks hate it when I praise their State, but the sheer goodness of the coast, what I like to call "Newsom's Lakes", Spokane, the Eastern Slope towns and the drives could easily have me busy for two months.

Extraordinary places.

Air BNB's like businesses have changed everything if you plan ahead.

We host a summer "glamping" event in Sweet Home, Oregon. My wife's Grandparents left 100 acres of farmland on the river. Zipline, rafting, being lazy and similar for four days. Weather is typically in the 70's - 80's, no bugs to speak of and humidity is low. Pretty amazing. Picture is from when we still had a Massey Ferguson.
