I am happy with how Georgia played this first half . Offense and defense have been solid . They lost 12 starters from last year , the replacements so far playing well .

Ah gee, poor Phil Knight and "The University of Nike". Phil's not getting any younger, but all his money into it..and no national championship this year. But you gotta admit, the Ducks had the prettier uniforms.:D

(edit) Same as every year...I have 2 favorite college teams. #1 is the Oregon State Beavers, who never have a prayer. #2 is whoever is playing the Ducks.

Rain-lightning delay in Starkvegas. MSU leads Memphis 7-0 in the first quarter.

Irish up 10-7 at the half!

MSU Bulldog radio network entertaining the listeners to the 2021 MSU-Auburn game during the lightning delay in Starkvegas. :D

Winning games without an offense. This team doesn't have a quarterback so, they run 3 plays and punt the ball, relying on the defense to intercept or recover a fumble close enough for a field goal. Sometimes the defense intercepts and scores touch downs, scores on safeties, or recovers fumbles in the end zone. They don't score offensive touch downs. They were successful last year with this strategy and aren't playing offense this year.

Jepordy for $50?

gduke2010 09-03-2022 07:46 PM

^^^ punting and a field goal kicker are very important.

The field goal guy needs at least 5 attempts while the punter must punt for 500 total yds/game.

Wow! Beavers won and Ducks lost...perfect!

Mississippi State thumps Memphis 49-23. Revenge for the "steal" last year is sweet indeed.

Hail State!
Go Dogs!

Florida's got a quarterback....check out this move!

I'm about done with college football. I tried to watch the Ohio State game last night. I went to bed at 10:30. The game started at 7:30 and three hours later they hadn't yet started the 4th quarter. I used to watch college football all Saturday afternoon and into the evening and I don't recall a normal game lasting over 4 hours. I could watch almost all of a 1:00 game before the 4:00 games started. Sitting and watching one game for over 4 hours is just not doable for me. I just don't have that much time to waste anymore.

Gotta confess...not the fan I used to be. Only watched a smattering of the Ducks getting creamed by Georgia, and most of the Beavers game. Maybe too much of what used to be a good thing? Maybe too much money? Maybe too much "woke"? Maybe I've become too old for anything to hold my interest long?

I can't believe I completely forgot about the LSU-FSU game. I just watched the highlights. Oh my. I'm sure there are a lot of LSU fans that wished they had completely forgot about the game.
