FWIW I hate installing hinges. I never, NEVER get them in perfectly.

I finally got around to trying to install my new parts.
The slides looked like it was going to be really easy, but the brackets on my current slides are smaller than the new ones, so I will have to buy new brackets and make sure everything lines up. I bought one set of door hinges. Replacing those looks easier than the slides, but it looks like I will need a different plate as they stick out a bit. What part should I get so it aligns correctly? Below is a picture where it sticks out. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1664500367.jpg Also, one of the hinges didn't seat well. Is there are trick to those? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1664500343.jpg Thanks! Neil |
Plug old holes with a bit of glue and a large toothpick. Push those tabs all the way tight up against the cabinet edge. They are preset for your hinge. Pre-drill and insert new screw. Adj from there.
Can't see the bottom, too big or close |

Edit: I would probably drill a pilot hole for fear of splitting the wood, after moving them in that much. |
