Believe it or not, that gas tank adds a good deal to the comfort for which these bikes are renown. It provides a very nice support for the lower torso, so we can take some weight off or our arms. These old Super Sports have a reputation as one of the more comfortable sport bikes ever made.

The Panigale that you show is just like it, although markedly less comfortable. Those bikes are well known as "torture racks", which is kind of hard to figure out. After all, its foot pegs are in the same place, but higher and further back, and its handlebars are in the same place, but lower and further forward. ;)

Yea, it's just like mine, except it's a one-ton pickup (WD-21) and mine's a 3/4 ton pickup (WD-15) and they're different colors - and also neither one of them is a Power Wagon (WDX).
Calling a pickup truck a Power Wagon is the height of ignorance. It's like calling a 924 an "early GT3."
Who ever wrote this description is utterly ignorant of the subject. The irony here is that a WD-21 is a lot more rare than a Power Wagon. I would have described it as a rare WD-21, not a common Power Wagon. I'm surprised the owner hasn't corrected the description.

The current owner appears to be a dealer, so the ignorance factor is a lot higher I would imagine than if it were privately owned.
I would also imagine that owning this you'd have to resign yourself to life in the slow lane and living at late '40's early '50's speed. Looks like a pretty nice restoration though.

True, that is a major part of it, but to add to it, there are three types of minds.

1. The mind that sees similarities and connections.

2. The mind that sees differences and disconnects.

3. The mind that sees neither.

Like you I have to take the high road on such occasions and gotta believe they mean no harm.

A couple of months ago I was in my Targa at a stop light and the guy in the black SUV next to me shouts out: nice car, Tougah.............who makes that?

However, there are yakking outliers that will eat your life away. That video fastfredracing posted a couple of years ago was a hoot where the guy kept talking about the car he had in the way back and the mechanic he was talking to was under a car and swamped with work.

Depending on relative speed and direction they could both be the same white car :)
