I posted about this in the past. Gas is $3.49 to $3.69 a few (10ish) miles east and also a few miles west of here. But it's $3.25 to $3.29 in this little bubble in the middle of our county.

Don't worry the government has you covered...

Gas prices moving up in OR. Legislature just passed law allowing self-serve gasoline in OR. Stations will be required to have full-service at some pumps, but realistically you'll sit and wait forever for that, so most gas will be self-pumped. I suspect the benefit will be more to gas station profits than lower gas prices.

Yeah, I strongly suspect that the Oregon legislature has a hand in this hike. Regular was posted at $4.99.
(Edit) For what it's worth, I've never had any problem in being able to pump my own when I wanted to in Oregon. 'Specially in the 911S. I'd get out, hand the pump jockey the card, say "It's a tricky filler neck, I want to pump it." Without fail, the jockey would start the pump, hand me the hose...usually with questions about the car.

Washington now has the highest gas prices in the nation. And the highest cost of living. I paid $5.79 for premium this morning.

Not bad here. We have been enjoying the Sheetz unusual premium pricing again for quite a while.
Reg $3.04 Mid $3.29 Premium $3.34 Diesel $3.31 Plus, an additional $.04 per gallon off for scanning in their IPhone AP on the pump...so $3.30 for 93 Premium. Less than midgrade at most places.

Diesel is 3.40 local. Gas is roughly atleast a nickel cheaper.

I had a guy insist he had to pump gas into my bassboat. He pulled out the nozzle and spits gas all over my fishfinder. He freaks out and runs for paper towels. I just freak out.

As Paul points out, regardless of Oregon law, every gas station attendant I have ever dealt with down there has let me pump my own gas into my 911 or any motorcycle. They are more than happy to avoid the risk.

My experience it’s that if you want to pump into your 911, etc, the attendants are happy to let you. The rest of the time, it’s a little convenience to have someone else pump.
What really bugs me is that thousands of people are going to lose their jobs, and gas prices won’t come down - gas stations will just make more money.
