So far its been perfect and I still have not gone through the original allocation of inks (which was supposed to be 2 years worth of printing). It does need to have its heads cleaned from time to time, but in my mind after a few HP's and one Canon lasers I went to Epson I think this Epson approach is a far better approach than those stupid cartridges which are just ways to milk you for overpriced ink. At least the Epson approach is more moderate and affordable. D. |

I bought the Epson with the ink tanks. So far so good. Got it for $200 plus tax. Very nice quality photos and regular print is fine. I filled the tank with the bottles which in theory should last me a long while as we are not big home printer peeps. I could not justify the cost of a color laser printer.
I know the whole cartridge thing is a total scam. Buy the printer for $75 and keep getting cartridges for $35 forever. Plus they dry in a short time meaning another cartridge change! Total BS. One thin for sure, never gonna buy anything from HP again.
