New toy Magnum Ferrari Dino kit car with mazda turbo engine

Well heres the story.
I was looking around for toys and I came across an ad for a dino kit car for sale.
Car looked really good and I taught i call the guy.Old(er) gentlemen answered the phone.Wanted to know more about the engine but he suggested to stop by.Wasnt to far so I went.Car looked really good,I asked if he ould tell me more about the engine. He said he has no idea of rotary engines, well I do.Car was not running rite.So I looked at the oil,had some milkshake so I taught the water seals are gone.
I was a bit dissapointed so I tried to leave. He was asking me how much the car worth? So I offered a really low price, thinking that he wont take it so I can hit the road.
Well he said yes...So I took it.Brought it home with all records and stuff.Car has an spcn title so it doesnt need smog.Today I towed it to my rx7 mechanics shop and what a surprise....the engine is healthy, milkshaky thing its from condensation for sitting and the not running rite was caused by the gentlemen who didnt know what the buttons were on the standalone. So the car is getting tuned and should be ready by friday.I have to admit I know so little about these cars, but the things I found are that it has a 914 transaxle, carrera adjustable shocks, tubular frame, and hand layed one piece fiberglass body.
Im curious what these cars worth,or if anybody has thoughts experiences, please share.
And here are some pictures

Good use of space. You could have gone classic American and fit what, 1.5 cars?

no idea what its worth, but it looks pretty cool. Porsche suspension and a tube frame sounds decent. At least it's not based on a bug chassis and engine.

Not all Kelmarks are VW based. Some are tube framed. remember the C&D built car with the midengine V8?

The fit and finish looks a lot better than most "dino" kit cars I've seen for sale. I'm curious what you stole it for?

Can you even add a supercharger to an already turbo motor?

Blow that sucker up.

I think you can but then you need different injectors, downpipe, mapping, and standalone, also bigger intercooler, oil cooler, thicker apex seals...so I dont think I want to do that.
Well I have the brochure from magnum and its stated that the car has a unique tubular steel racing chassis, and cockpit built in roll cage.Car was built in San Diego by Magnum Sports Car Co.The fiberglass construction is the work of Mr. Wayne Jacobson of Corsair, anybody knows who he is??
I dont see anywhere beeing mentioned that this is based on a vw chassis.
Anyway further pictures will probably help, soon as its ready with the tuning.

Tamas you are on a run as far as cool cars goes! I love the looks of that car! And it sounds like it could have some potential as a track machine.
When you mentioned the name Corsair in S D, Corsair Marine came to mind. I had a look at their web site, but found no mention of car bodies or Wayne Jacobson. You might give them a call?

Cheers Richard

A lot of replica/kitcars of that era have very wide ugly window frames on the doors. Very ugly. It was one of the first thing I noticed on this one, that it didn't.
