I wish they’d sell Mobil 1 ESP 5/30. That’s the only approved oil for my Sprinter van. I have to buy it from WalMart online and they only carry them in quarts. Btw, I use Kirkland oil in my truck and in my SUV. Nothing wrong with Kirkland per The Project Farm on YouTube.

A large oil mfg makes their oil and its cert. Not a big deal if you ask me, its good oil. I run 'em in my trucks and SUV.

Walmart has excellent car service...as long as it only includes tire and battery service.

I get my Mobil 1 from Wally World. It's hard to beat their everyday price, and it gets delivered to my doorstep for no added charge within 1 or 2 days. Plus Costco doesn't carry the 15w-50 that air-cooled Porsches like.

I recently purchased 5 litre jugs of Liqui Moly 5w40 full synthetic from USP Motorsports in Florida . Price was $36.99 each with free shipping to my door . Great price for excellent quality oil .

Costco may not have the 15w-50 I use in the Porsches, but they carry the 5w-20 for my Honda DD and the 5w-30 for my parents' Infiniti, so I thought of this thread when I picked up a couple cases today. Thanks, serene!

Those superlight oils aren't really good for your engine-they're spec'd in order to help meet efficiency targets but unless you live on the frozen tundra they're really not helping with longevity.

My Civic calls for 0-W-20. Are you saying that maybe a 10-W-20 would be better for the engine?

Maybe we're overthinking things here (for modern daily drivers). My Civic has over 190K miles on the motor. Our Odyssey has almost 120K. All with 5w-20.

My Odyssee and my Civic both call for 0/20 and 0/20 Mobil 1 is all I’ve ever used…Odyssee is at 130K. My experience is that the 6 quart box of Mobil 1 at Costco has to be on sale to beat the 5 quart jug at Walmart (per qt price)…at least in the past.
