I've seen the compressible bellows in Texas, but not everywhere. I'm not sure if that means it's maybe based on county vs state or maybe city/town. I've had a little trouble with them before but usually it just means having to hold the nozzle to ensure that the bellows is compressed.
I don't have a problem filling the tank in my Boxster. I think the tank in my boxster is ~17 gal. The tank in my old '88 911 was ~23 gal, so it's smaller, but I wouldn't call it tiny.
