We Karen, So You Don’t Have To.
This will probably not last long here, but the business idea is too good not to post. Amazing idea, frankly.
https://www.karensforhire.com/ Article: https://jewishworldreview.com/1222/rent_a_karen.php3 Her plea arrived at a 19th-century brick house on one of Pittsburgh's once-grand boulevards. Here, in a drafty bottom-floor apartment, Chris Grimm, 44, and Fallon Zecca, 35, are trying to launch a small business and also revolutionize the way we complain. On a December morning, Zecca is where she often is: On hold. "Your estimated wait time is four minutes," said a voice from the speakerphone on her dining room table. Her personal record is three hours on hold (with Air Canada), but this time she is on the phone quickly with a travel broker dragging its feet on refunding a frustrated flier. "Hello, this is Fallon of Karens for Hire and this is my third call … " Zecca said, launching into a recap of her client's complaint: a last-minute canceled flight that forced her to rent a car and drive hours from Toronto to Pittsburgh to avoid missing work. On the other side of the table, Grimm - her business and romantic partner - was reviewing the fine print on a solar panel contract. A family in California has tried for months to understand why their roof array was producing less than a third of the expected voltage, leaving them with light bills of $200 month. The company that sold and installed the system had stopped replying. "They've got a good case," said Grimm, highlighting the provision that promised monthly bills of just $19. He had the owner's direct line in hand and now he was typing up his arguments on a laptop with "You've got to believe" written on a sticky note next to the keyboard. Karens for Hire, which includes two other part-time advocates and a lawyer on retainer, has received more than 2,300 requests for help since it launched last spring. The table is littered with scrawled notes and numbers, the detritus of hundreds of transactions gone bad, conflicts large and small, corporate and local, petty and profound.

Kinda like a reverse collection agency.
Might the business actually flourish? _

I wish them luck. I’ve done something like that in the past for family members that lacked a particular subject matter expertise to argue their points effectively.
These folks will run into two problems. Some entities will refused to have a dialogue with them, because they are not the aggrieved party. Others won’t be moved until a lawyer gets involved, and they decide that making a problem go away is cheaper than fighting a lawyer. Bon chance. |

My business partner has remained friends with many ex-girlfriends. It is almost weird how many times he has helped out former girlfriends. Even doing a brake pad replacement on their cars when the dealer quoted over a grand for new pads and he does it for 75 bucks. I don't know what he receives as payment.
Many of those single ladies often call him him and ask for him to be the "temporary man" to go with them to a car repair shop. He has helped many of his lady friends as an a-hole for hire, to deal with mechanics, banks, landlords, and contractors. Lots of ladies don't deal with high pressure sales tactics, and get ripped off. He has even helped out at a new car purchase with trade in values, and overall prices. He has bought the trade in car at above what the dealer was offering. He is driving a RAV4 now that one former girlfriend was convinced was about to have expensive repairs. He got it cheap, and it is a car he will let friends in need bowwow on occasion. There is indeed a need for some people to have a strong personality type be their advocate.

I do not understand why we allow the law to be run by inside interests
WHO ARE CLEARLY NOT THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S INTERESTS our laws and courts should BE for the people not just the rich corpRATS I should be able to be represented by who I pick lawyer or not my choice not the courts/judge [another lawyer] or bar club members and at the basic level should be far far quicker and cheaper for an individual to use without delay after delay taking years not days the rights and wrongs should be the issue not procedures |

This is a little funny, because they ignore/overlook the other common meaning of “Karen”: white woman who calls police on black people for doing normal daily things.

My late Aunt was a character. She literally "could sell ice to Eskimos". I was there one time when she had a two and a half hour conversation on the phone.
"Who was that" I asked "Old High School friend?". "No, wrong number" was her reply. I needed a copy of my Birth Certificate from Hawaii and was told it would be three weeks minimum. She said "Let me handle it" and I had 3 copies in my possession in 2 days, gratis. She once sold her house while standing in line at the bank after her realtor failed after over 6 months. I told her she should have gone into "conflict resolution" years before she passed. She could talk on the phone all day long. might as well make money at it.

Wait till the lawsuits from customers who expected legal expertise and didn't get it figure out they missed a deadline or filing of some sort.
They are soliciting business from people who identify as pain in the ass customers. It's gonna bite them in the ass at some point.

The ultimate Karen move is to hire a "Karen" to complain about your Karen issue for you. I can't say I wish them well. I wish them karma.
