Not bad, but a skip around the block compared to their "36-hours or until it breaks" test at Sebring in October. They did the 36-hours (continuous) and about 4,500 miles.

Between the test at Sebring and Daytona the Penske/Porsche team are as ready as they can be . No lack of $$$ or expertise . Looking forward to the inaugural race the end of this month .

I am sure Acura/BMW/Cadillac are equally prepared so a strong field of competition . And the one thing no team can prepare for is luck . And without luck it's tough to win .

I'm following this new LMDh era with a lot of interest, should be very close racing

You make your own luck in motorsport, reads like Porsche are working hard on that

Racing is such a cruel sport. All that incredible preparation and they could be out on lap one with an incident or mechanical! It's going to be interesting for sure to see who can stay reliable. Maybe all, maybe none ....

Really looking forward to attending this year, with the GTP debuts. I don't want to jinx the weather, but we are due for a warmer weekend!

We can all hope the 963 is "one better" than the legendary 962 and wins more races.

Racer Magazine has a really interesting video series, GTP 101, going into some detail about the cars, particularly aero. I'm assuming Porsche 101 will be released soon.

You're not wrong, it can really suck!

Been on the hurting end of seeing a F1 championship lost a few corners from the end of the last lap of the last race

Will follow this championship very closely so hoping it's an exciting season. Not sure which team I'll support

I would rather be out on lap one than have the car quit on the last lap just a few corners from the finish and not even finish like Toyota did a few years ago at Le Mans.

I’m a thorough Porsche/Penske fanboy. They have shown what they can do before, but that was way before BoP was ruling the day. And BoP for Daytona is unique. It should be a very interesting and I hope competitive year.

I totally understand your sentiment.

But I'd rather have my race come to an end just a lap from the checkered flag. At least that way I got to race for 23 hours and 50-some minutes.

Glen, I can't comprehend your thinking, not for a moment saying you're wrong, its just I can't get my head around it

With all the blood, sweat, tears and money that goes into getting a car to a race you want the car to go as fast as it can, for as far/long as it can and finish as high as it can

Personally for me, its better to be in the race and blow up on the last lap than not be in the race and spectating
