I'm thinking of using the extra $170 on the Mega Millions tomorrow.

If I win..I'll send a thank you letter to the SS office.

I got mine today as well. It is weird, it shows up in my bank account as "pending" for several days before they make the actual deposit and release the funds. It is like they are waiting for the deposit account to clear or something. who knows how it is supposed to work.

I didn't really get the meaning of this....until I read this.....

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/egg-prices-soar-nearly-60-as-some-retail-locations-see-low-supply-184226355.html

$4.25 dozen for large eggs? I always get jumbo's...I wonder what they are going for?
Even though that's a very large price increase....I see eggs as still being a good price. (for what you get)

Say what? The deposit showed up yesterday as real funds on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. It showed as pending for the several few days.

I download my bank feed to Quicken and monitor it all that way.

Though I've only been drawing SS a few months, it depends upon your birthday as too which Wed. .... mine is the 2nd Wed of each month. Though SS shows "pending" for a few days ahead of time, it's not unlike one of my pension deposits, though it's not as many days.

They just want to tease ya!

Oh yeah ... the increase was included... don't know how I'll splurge eggzackly .... mebbe a McMuffin !

Your post today said "got mine today". Today is Thursday which is the basis for my question. Per your post you gained access to your funds today and the gubment never pays after the promised day. Therefore, I was asking if the payment is associated with the third Wednesday, which does not seem an unreasonable question.

Let's see, we've been paying 8% more for goods and services for the past 12 months out of pocket - that money's gone forever. So now we get an 8% adjustment to hopefully reduce additional losses in 2023. These "raises" are just so darn exciting!

Mine does not say pending it says "Early Pay - 2 days early" so it just goes in earlier than Wed.

My bank has some form of "early pay" program that gives access to funds for payroll deposit and the like a day or two early. I don't know if I chose to participate in it.

Yep, I understand the confusion. It actually hit my account sometime yesterday. Today when I downloaded the bank feed, and it showed up in my Quicken register. Sorry for my confusion. Every day is like Saturday to me, and I often forget what day it is. I own my own company, and I do the work when it arrives, and it might be Christmas day, or any other day and my mean slave driver boss makes me get the work done.

My brother the EV freak says buy a share of Tesla each month but that sounds way too responsible.
