My friends call me, Top

My wonderful boy is gone
My greatly loved eldest dog K.C. crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. I am devastated. His health and mobility have been declining fairly quickly in the last week, although he did get up and get in the car for a ride on Tuesday. I think he knew it was going to be his last. He passed peacefully at home. The vet came and did the tough part. Meanwhile my wife and I were in tears. He was "one in a million" , smart, happy, and just a great companion.
We love you K.C. , see you again you big bazoo !

RIP K.C., a life well lived. So sorry Matt, it's never easy and they all are "one in a million". Even Nalu my Choc Lab who is right now snoring at my feet, letting off some noxious dog farts.
He'll still get a few nice treats though.

Matt ... man. I have no words. I feel your grief, and I know nothing is going to take it away. You gave him your best - the best life and the best love a friend could ask for. He died a loved and happy friend. We here all know you are a good man, but K.C. - he knows you are the BEST man.
Maybe, someday, you and K.C. will meet up with Maddie and me on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge and we will walk together. "Til then. God Bless Patrick

As a life long dog owner been there many times . It's always rough and never easy . But it's not supposed to be . Losing a loved one is like that . They give so much love and ask very little in return . When you are ready get another one , that's what us dog owners do . Very sorry for your loss .

Had to the same a few months back with our eldest Boxer, Chloe. Horrible times. Baxter, our other Boxer took a long time to return to normal as well.... Chin up, remember the good times and that you provided a wonderful life for K.C.!! Cheers

Sad to hear as well and like so many others here, I've been there. Someone said that the only thing wrong with dogs is that they do not live as long as us. When you bring home that cute puppy, you are signing up for that sad day in the future when his life is over. Unless you are 80 years old when the puppy is born, the sad day is coming.
Still, it's so worth it. Dogs are so wonderful and it give us a chance to care for another being and give it a good life. I know that you are sad but you did well.
