If so I'm out first as I live within the first strike zone of a major military arsenal.

We got Pearl Harbor. KJU will want to strike that so the Navy is hampered.

I’ve wondered about the future and humanity. Unless something drastic happens, I don’t see everyone playing nice together. I think that we will end up fighting one another in some form and it’s going to be dog eat dog.

Aren’t nuclear submarines station at Kings Bay, Georgia? What’s the blast radius for nuclear weapons? I’m 210 miles away, so I might be OK.

For a couple minutes anyway.

I'd have the pleasure of going slowly... If a Nuke didn't hit were I live I'd have maybe 6 months tops.

The last time I really worried about Nukes and the world was back in the 80s. It seems all too real right now.

Man I'm so close that my house shakes when they detonate anything big. The coolest part was whenever Trump was at his golf course, they'd have the fighters circling overhead.

I don’t think the end of the world will happen in the next couple of centuries. I think human bodies will have machines and algorithms eventually and automation will make us all lazy and dependent but hopefully people in the future near and far will be wise enough to make sure AI doesn’t become self aware.

Air Force general predicts war with China in 2025: 'I hope I am wrong'
Four-star Air Force general warns 2024 elections will 'distract' US, enable China to invade Taiwan

A four-star Air Force General on Friday predicted in a memo to his officers that the U.S. will be at war with China by 2025 and advised his commanders to prepare, a report by NBC News said.

Gen. Mike Minihan, head of Air Mobility Command, in a memo to all air wing commanders and other Air Force operational commanders said, "I hope I am wrong. My gut tells me [we] will fight in 2025."

Minihan said he believes war with China is imminent in the next two years due to the upcoming 2024 elections in the U.S. and Taiwan, which he claimed will "distract" Washington and Taipei and enable China to make a move on the island.

The general said a "a fortified, ready, integrated, and agile Joint Force Maneuver Team ready to fight and win inside the first island chain" needs to be established to prepare for the looming fight.

Minihan directed his Air Force commanders to report back by Feb. 28 on steps they will take to prepare for the war against China.

He also said all personnel should ensure their records and emergency contact information are up-to-date and to "consider their personal affairs and whether a visit should be scheduled with their servicing base legal office to ensure they are legally ready and prepared."

The general reportedly urged his fighting forces to "run deliberately, not recklessly," but said they need to accept some risk in training.

"If you are comfortable in your approach to training, then you are not taking enough risk," he added.

A defense official told Fox News Digital Saturday that Minihan’s remarks "are not representative of the department’s view on China."

DOD press secretary Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder said in a statement that U.S.'s "National Defense Strategy makes clear that China is the pacing challenge for the Department of Defense and our focus remains on working alongside allies and partners to preserve a peaceful, free and open Indo-Pacific."

Top defense officials have repeatedly warned that China’s long-term aim is to reunify Taiwan with mainland China and Beijing has ramped up its aggressive posture in the region in recent years.

President Biden said last year that he would respond to an invasion of Taiwan by deploying U.S. forces, unlike the war in Ukraine.

But Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told reporters earlier this month that he "seriously doubt[s]" an invasion of Taiwan and subsequent war with China is "imminent."

If the threat of nuclear war gets higher, I will buy a couple of these for my wife and I to hide under. For most every year in grade school we had fire drills, and air raid drills, or tornado drills. They always made us get under our desks to be safe in a nuclear strike or a tornado. It must be a very safe place. I remember they gave us a brochure and it had basic instructions on how to deliver a baby. I asked are all the adults going to be gone? Why do I have to deliver babies?

I like 13 miles as the nuke blast travels from Tinker, AFB. The home of Air Force maintenance, and the AWACS fleet. And a navy base!

A big hydrogen bomb there would likely be goodby time for me.

I really think the Mutually Assured destruction thinking will keep any aggressor from attacking us. Nuke em till they glow, nuke em till they glow!

Honeybee brood disease; no bees to pollinate the plants, no food for us.

But the science fiction writers might have gotten it right, too!

Maybe
• A giant sunspot wipes out all our data
or
• A giant EMP bricks all our electronics
or
• Secret Jewish Space Lasers burn down all the forests

My happy prediction for all this:

- Multiple rapidly-mutating viruses break out and we have rampant sickness across the globe. The range of viruses runs the gamut from COVID-like to ebola-like symptoms and they are intermixed across all populations within a short time.

- This hastens a major economic downturn / collapse accompanied by major civil unrest and uprising.

- Governments implement extreme measures to attempt to contain the virus spread and quell civil disobedience.

- Some random country attempts to purge the virus spread with nukes or other major military action; other countries misinterpret intent and then game over.

Putin launches nukes, we respond, N Korea doesn't want to left out of the party and they shoot a nuke that blows up 5 seconds after launch, Biden blames gas stoves, CNN says it all Trump's fault, DeSantis declares himself King, Musk buys Iowa, Tom Brady buys the Patriots and fires the staff and team, and Jimmy Hoffa/Elvis Presley show up on the 7 O'clock news together and declare they are running for President/Vice President.

Now here's the weird part: Russ Meyer and Ken Burns decide to do a documentary about all of it.

Well if it's the Russ Meyer responsible for this...
