If they think they can make money with a production version, it might happen. Porsche already makes a zillion different vehicles. More versions of the 911 than one can count, and numerous Boxster & Caymans versions. Macans, Cayennes and then the electric stuff. Oh and some race cars as well. One more line is possible.

I'm curious where the price point would be - certainly below the 911 - but then where in comparison to Boxster and Cayman?

It's not horrible and Porsche certainly has the agility and resources to do it.

Looks horrible. But I'm not the intended market, so my opinion isn't important to Stuttgart.

It looks like a fiberglass kustom cross between a Nissan Z, Chrysler Crossfire, and Bentley Coupe.

But it'll reportedly be based on the mid-engine Cayman chassis and have a 500 HP 4.0 L flat-6, so I'd imagine it'll be a couple hundred thousand dollars.

I hope it dissolves into oblivion because it’s ugly AF.

Flatten the roofline just a smidge and it would look great (a la Taycan). If this becomes reality I’m guessing it won’t look much like that rendering. Porsche doesn’t tend to release ugly cars…IMO.

I like the rear end, a lot. The front needs reworking, it doesn’t capture the bluntness of the 356.

You can't improve on perfection, so I'll stick with my original. And I can fix mine on the side of the road if it breaks.
