Ceres was the first asteroid discovered. It was discovered (found) in 1801. Only the recent flyby gave us any real information about it. It is not a planet at all, just an asteroid. It is way to small to be called a planet.

Yep, I've been there for 2 weeks at the very end of the rainy season when the water level is at it's peak. (water level can rise >50' from the beginning of the rainy season to the end). Everything is boats, water taxis, and what you might call "water busses". Homes are on stilts (and gardens are even raised), and even those often have water marks up the side. Imagine taking a boat ride and being 40' up a forest. It's really amazing.

Ceres is not new.

Dwarf planets are capable of being geologically active, an expectation that was borne out in 2015 by the Dawn mission to Ceres and the New Horizons mission to Pluto. Planetary geologists are therefore particularly interested in them.

Astronomers are in general agreement that at least the nine largest candidates are dwarf planets – in rough order of size, Pluto, Eris, Haumea, Makemake, Gonggong, Quaoar, Ceres, Orcus, and Sedna. Considerable uncertainty remains over the tenth largest candidate Salacia, which may thus be considered a borderline case. Of these ten, two have been visited by spacecraft (Pluto and Ceres) and seven others have at least one known moon (Eris, Haumea, Makemake, Gonggong, Quaoar, Orcus, and Salacia), which allows their masses and thus an estimate of their densities to be determined. Mass and density in turn can be fit into geophysical models in an attempt to determine the nature of these worlds. Only one, Sedna, has neither been visited nor has any known moons, making an accurate estimate of mass difficult. Some astronomers include many smaller bodies as well,[1] but there is no consensus that these are likely to be dwarf planets.

I think it was a Panasonic...not sure. But it was def. aftermarket with cassette player. (maybe 8 track)

I had head units that just the the front plate came off, and one that the entire stereo came out was of course for theft prevention The dumb part is yea, you pull out the stereo, and then carry it around with you looking like a dork. After once, you just say eff it, leave it in place.

Even just the front plate was a pain to deal with. I presume stereo theft has plummeted in happening as so many cars now come with factory stereos that also run the heat and AC and other things. Much like wheel locks, not many cars use them now.

I did it when the car was left in a bad area.

I've always managed to (intentionally) avoid the ones that seemed so crazy that you might find your pet in a pot on the stove. I get the impression from some of her interviews, that she could be right up there. I would be willing to weather the storm, I think.

Yea, and my El Camino has a really really large trunk (bed), with an open bed. Yea, I know I am unusual.
