I think we have all said we are done with Amazon .....until we aren't.

Years back, I signed up for their Prime Visa card. I use it for any Amazon purchase and nothing else. Pay the bal each month and there is cash-back on all purchases that can applied to your next purchase. No annual fee.
It's nice every so often to apply it to a purchase and it covers the whole thing.

She learned, never ever google a "striping comb" as you will not get information about pet care combs.

If I search for "striping comb" or "stripping comb" I only get hits for pet care products. That begs the question, why did google think that your missus was interesting in something else, hmmm?

WalMart (online) is about the only realistic alternative to Amazon and I have had way more delivery problems with Walmart than Amazon.

I have ordered from Walmart, but only once or twice when there were no other options.

Walmart does the same thing as Amazon, where if you order, you may be ordering from Walmart directly or you may be ordering from someone else that is selling through Walmart. Ordering direct from Walmart is reasonably safe, but I don't completely trust ordering from someone that is selling through Walmart.

I also don't completely trust ordering from other sellers via Amazon unless those orders are Prime which uses the standard (pain-free) Amazon return/refund process.

I shop at as many places as needed to get what I want at the best price, quality, and delivery terms.

I can't remember ever "quitting" a vendor - although I did a local barber here and that felt good. :)

Back when I was rebuilding my boat trailer I needed a few pieces of steel - guess where I ended up getting them? Yup - Amazon.

But not mentioned yet is eBay. I use eBay all the time or at least check with them before ordering anything from Amazon or locals.

I just replaced headlight wipers for the Volvo and a rear tail light on the Silverado and got a better buy from eBay. Pretty fast delivery too - just a few days....

Gotta say --shop around and have consistently had fine service from Amazon -clothes, tools and a plethora of other stuff. Been pretty lucky with Ebay and some good prices there-- mostly car related.

My local auto part guys generally don't know much more than the computer tells em. Both ebay and Amazon beat their prices.
Only the appliance part guys have screwed up my orders to any degree.
