And along with them (my preference) no tattoos.

We, as a society, have gotten away from fashion, IMHO.

That said, the Latin cultures have retained their sense of fashion.

That first video is what was known as a "Micro-mini skirt". It is just a long shirt.

Problem with bringing the mini back is you also get Neru jackets, super wide ties, and elephant bell bottom pants.

As a kid in the 60's I learned to appreciate the MS and it will always be dear to my heart.

For the most part, women these days dress much better than men. Miniskirts would be nice, but in exchange, men should uphold their part of the bargain by uograding their game from baseball caps, long droopy ankle-length shorts, long droopy oversize t-shirts, and goofy puffy and bright colored sneakers..

Honestly, there are women I do not want to see in a miniskirt and there are a LOT more of them today than when I was a young man. Back in the day, 18 year-old women could all wear miniskirts. Today, just a small percentage. Or so it seems.

Same with guys. The Jerry West shorts looked good on him in the 1960s. Today, he'd be better off in something a little looser. And again, today's young men are wearing oversized trousers because today's young men are themselves oversized.

Even better with gogo boots and spoons.

Who (among a certain age demographic, anyway) didn't dream about Peeling them off the lovely Emma?

When I was in high school, the school came down with a "dress code" and said the girl's hemline had to be at least even with the tips of her thumbs, when her arms were relaxed at her side.

Now, stand up, relax your arms and check where your thumbs are. Yep, that is how short the skirts were allowed to be. And I saw a few of the girls get a spot check from a teacher as they entered school. As soon as the teacher went to the next girl, they would roll the top of the skirt up around the belt to make it shorter.

Dang it was wonderful but, distracting. 16 to 19 year old nubile girls wearing micro mini skirts and there I am full of hormones or was that whoremones?

I looked at my yearbook recently and wow, those were some short skirts.

I will admit I hated with a passion bell bottom jeans, and that was all that was available except Levi 501s with the stupid button fly. Even worse was the HUGE cuffs on nice slacks, and platform shoes and disco. I had to put up with button fly jeans as punishment for the mini skirts the girls wore.

At our school, the boys were allowed to smoke in the bathrooms. Really. If I did not run to the bathroom and fight with the damn buttons and finish at the urinal promptly, the bathroom was so smokey I could not see the door. Yea, it really was that bad. I hated it and begged for at least one bathroom that was smoke free, but I might as well asked for a bathroom attendant with fresh warm towels to dry my hands.

I totally understand I am a grumpy old man, and there are many "fashions" I simply do not understand. The giant shorts that would be be a loose fit on Shaquille O'Neal just look stupid in my opinion. Of course pants hanging down with underwear showing is even dumber. I think the dumbest is grown men going out in public still in their pajamas. I saw a man that had to be in hi 40s in his PJs holding a credit card in hand since there were no pockets at the grocery store.

Dunno man, most young women these days wouldn't fit in a miniskirt. Or if they did I'd need eye bleach....

Yea, way way way too many women were yoga pants that should be arrested for casing an eye bleach emergency.

They'd probably come out with mini pajama bottoms.

A woman has to have the right legs to rock a miniskirt. Mrs Peel has them.

I wonder if Doug has and photos of Mrs Doug in a miniskirt. I'll bet she can wear it right.
