I applied for F&C for the Vegas race in November.

They are looking for ~600 volunteers in different capacities.

He also owns part of Wrexham AFC, a Welsh football club. The club gained some notoriety and cult like following this past season during the FA cup. He was seen at several matches.

Another dominating run by Max and Red Bull . Sergio pulled himself out of the gutter . Both Haas cars in the top 10 . Mercedes not so much .

yellowperil 07-01-2023 04:04 AM

Quali on Friday, sprint on Saturday. What? When did they practice? They screwed up my F1 week. Can't run the curbs, too many rules. Williams going out with wet tires on a dry track, that makes sense. Just saying

10:25 - 11:00 this morning on ESPN is the sprint race .

Hearing the drivers complain about the enforcement of track limits is priceless. Now if the FIA would be consistent at every track we would have something positive.

Fatality at the Spa F2 race

rfuerst911sc 07-01-2023 12:28 PM

I predict tomorrow's race will be close right up to the lights going green 😁 . Max and Red Bull just too strong . They have raised the performance bar very high and have shown reliability . Checo tried very hard today but he can't keep up .

Glad to see Hulk had a good run today . But Haas has to figure out their tire deg issues . AM consistent and McLaren has some pace . Ferrari and Alpine could surprise tomorrow . If it rains all bets are off .

Hey Lewis Hamilton , you want some cheese with that whine ? What a baby , shut up and drive . Entitled idiot .

Another dominant performance by Max and RB . Checo did well . Ferrari are inching closer . Good points for AM . Track limits yikes !!!

GH85Carrera 07-02-2023 09:36 AM

The track limits is something that NEEDS to be enforced like it was today.

Every single game or sport I can think of has a "field of play" and out of bounds is, well out of bounds.

I think they are very generous by saying all 4 wheels can't go over the white line. In most sports or games, the line itself it out of bounds.

And as the announcers pointed out, in the sprint race, all the drivers knew the red and white curbs retained water, and hence caused slower lap times, so not one driver was going over the line on purpose. When they can gain a 1/100th of a second, they will indeed push to the limits and risk out of bounds.

And Hamilton was such a whiner. Yea, his car was not perfect and bullet proof and several seconds faster that the rest of the field like he enjoyed for 8 years straight of running. Welcome to the regular world of winning on driving ability, and teamwork. F1 has almost always had one dominate team. Sometimes it is the other guys. Suck it up buttercup.

Deschodt 07-02-2023 11:05 AM

I'd rather they put a big sausage curb than those +5 sec. Hit it, break the car or destabilize it and lose traction/ and a spot... Or slippery paint ? something other than constant penalties.

On a selfish note, following Piastri saga out of Alpine and him being called the next great thing, I'm wondering what the deal is when he finishes essentially last and Norris is so far up. I'm really starting to Rate Norris as a great driver, don't think his car belonged there.

Zeke 07-02-2023 12:34 PM

Real rumble strips ought to do the job. They seem to rattle the car enough to lose some time but in themselves don't do great harm. Too tall a berm and you start ripping off parts that other cars can hit potentially causing enough damage to cause a crash. Also tall berms can launch a car.

A wonder if a study has ever been done on the spacing of such strips. It may only take 2 per turn to upset the car. It's all in some kind of harmonics.

Remember Norris had all the new bits on his car this weekend....

Reg 07-02-2023 01:44 PM

^^^^ this. Next weekend should be good. Just better call or not call penalties!

astrochex 07-02-2023 02:25 PM

I was happy to see track limits called. If only they were consistent within a race and from race to race.

Hamilton was priceless again on the radio.

917_Langheck 07-02-2023 10:26 PM

They don't b!tch so much about track limits at Monaco or Canada. Run wide, hit the wall. End.

BYW I'm thinking get rid of track limits,
and install spike strips.
That'd do it.

In football (not the American version played with hands) the ball isn't out until the entire ball is over the line even if it is in the air. I'm thinking they enforce in FIA the same as FIFA. But honestly, they just need to be consistent.

Cringe worthy comments from Toto on Hammy:

"Hamilton is clearly the most important personality in our sport. He is so multi-dimensional. He is not only a racing driver and world champion, but he is trailblazing for diversity, for sustainability, and there are no limits for Lewis Hamilton as a racing driver, as an entrepreneur, and as a politician. I think he is one of the most spectacular personalities and characters that I have ever met," Wolff said.

We owe him an eighth world championship," Wolff concluded while standing in front of 10 Downing Street in London.

Wow!, just wow

David 07-08-2023 08:40 AM

That was REALLY exciting... for about 13 seconds. Still pretty cool qualifying.

GH85Carrera 07-08-2023 11:49 AM

Very interesting qualifying.

astrochex 07-08-2023 11:56 AM

…. but the race winner won’t be.

rfuerst911sc 07-08-2023 12:01 PM

I don't want to put the cart before the horse but I think Logan Sargeant is starting to get a handle of the Williams. Not as fast as Albon but he's making steady progress . Speaking of Albon he is wringing the neck out of his Williams .

What the heck is going on with Perez ? He's working his way out of a RB ride . Head scratcher . McLaren has good pace with both cars . Even DeVries showed some early pace . Let's see how tomorrow shakes out .

Zeke 07-08-2023 01:05 PM

No one owes anything to a race car driver except a safe car and competitive pit work and strategy. Everything else has enough plain fate in it to be unpredictable.

rfuerst911sc 07-09-2023 08:46 AM

Solid run by Mercedes/McLaren/Williams . Ferrari must be wondering where to find more speed . Max dominate and Perez a points finish . Haas in some kind of performance death spiral .

GH85Carrera 07-09-2023 09:39 AM

Great McLaren performance. They scored more points today than they had in the previous races so far this year.

Max has more points by himself to be in first place for the manufacturers championship.

Zeke 07-09-2023 09:43 AM

Who is the new 3rd announcer?

Max and the Redbull car together making everyone else on the grid look like they're in F2 cars

So far the Redbull is the only team enjoying a 100% reliability record too

Will be interesting to see what records they break this year ie most wins in a season, most consecutive wins, most race finishes, most fastest laps, most pole positions etc etc

450knotOffice 07-10-2023 05:55 AM

All of them, lol.

Not sure who you are referring to. Male / Female?

This is Naomi Schiff, driver in the W series but she's been on for a couple of years now.
