I think qualifying could be interesting . Lots of pace in the top 4 with middle pack runners right there . The livery for Alfa Romeo is stunning ! Just my personal opinion but I think Nico Rosberg is an excellent analyst/commentator . Comes across as very knowledgeable and easy to understand . The kind of guy you want to have a beer or two with .

I enjoyed watching that qualifying and congrats to the pole winner . They will party hard in Italy tonight . I think race pace is a different animal and I expect Max to lead the way .

Albon another great effort . Will be interesting to see what Williams can do over the next two to three years . Alpine way off the pace . Tomorrow should be a good one .

Qualifying was tight and exciting, I don’t expect the race to be. Turn 1 lap 1 could be dramatic, but we will see.

Carlos and Charles flip a coin in the Sunday morning team meeting. Loser takes Max out at either the 1st or 2nd chicane. A bonzi move at Curva de Lesmo would be especially effective. The winner takes 1st place.

Tifosi party like it's 1999!!

WOW..didn't know I could post and dream at the same time.

^^^ Ha. That's what I told my daughter (she's a big fan of Leclerc, b/c he's cute). She thought clearly Carlos should take out Max, as he'll be in front or alongside, so easier to guarantee a contact. Then let Leclerc through for the win.

Sadly, can't watch this am, due to the Spectrum/Disney/ESPN row. We could watch Zandvoort last week. But that was last week. As is I needed another reason to cancel Spectrum and look for an alternative.

Once again Max had to really work at winning today. He is driving the best car on the track, and he is doing the perfect drives.

Hamilton's luck prevails, he crashes into a competitor to make a pass, takes the competitor out of the points after he has to pit for a new nose, and Hamilton suffers no damage, and only gets a 5 second penalty, that was 100% meaningless.

He’s indeed lucky. Car could have been pitched another way for a very different ending.

Toto’s quotes about Verstappen streak being meaningless and for Wikipedia (which nobody reads anyways) makes him come off as a dickhead in my view. He said that they don’t have that stat because they had two drivers at top. Sore loser.

Red Bull, Honda and Captain Ahab are guilty too.

You could have said that about Vettel or Schumacher. I'm happy I could get up a 5am in the late 80's and 90's to watch Prost and his friends. Seems like they had races then.

I just hope RB is stopped before they run up 6 or 7 championships in a row! That would be the death of F1 as we know it.

Maybe they should hand out trophies to a different constructor every race week to keep it fair too

I've been trying to ruin F1 for 23yrs now so really enjoying this season as the win records keep getting broken

Some of my finest work is in the RB, the Alpha Tauri and another under performing mid-field team too just to up my winning odds

Geez, Dennis. I hope you meant that to be in green font.
I realize many folks who are fans of F1 racing would like to see other winners, but this level is supposed to be the pinnacle. Yes, Newey designed the best car on the grid and Max uses it to its full potential. He wins races. A lot of races. If other teams want to change that, they know what they need to do. Put together a better package of design, support and drivers.
Even with the best car, look at how many times this year Checo has been beaten. I am not Max's biggest fan. I remember calling him Max Crashstappen earlier in his career but you have to admire what he and the team have accomplished.

Best

Well said.

Look at the total dominance of Mercedes for 8+ years. Cars that just never broke, and were just way faster than anything else on the track. Hamilton is a great driver, and almost never drives off track and smacks the wall on his own, so he gets some credit, but he was in a clearly superior car. When he was out with covid and George drove Hamilton's car he was way out front until Mercedes made a couple of bonehead errors, sending him out with mismatched tires, and he still almost won. It was like Mercedes did not want George to win with a clear margin to make it look like Hamilton was a magical driver.
