Monterey Car Week 2023

I am planning to attend a few days this year.

Does anyone know the status of the "Concours on the Avenue"? Will it be held in 2023?

The whatsupmonterey web page lists the event for Tuesday August 15th but says "not confirmed yet" next to it. I know it was canceled in 2022 apparently due to the passing of the founder.

Reviving this older thread. The event no longer shows up on the whatsupmonterey.com website FWIW. Anybody know whether it is still on? I doubt it.

Mid August is a good time to go to Monterey, especially if you are in central Kalifornia, Aridzona, Texass or any other uncomfortably hot place. Pretty much anywhere within 50 or 100 miles of the Gulf of Mexico can be rough in the Summer.

Vintage races 8/12+13, I think Wayne is going to that, maybe I will run down there

oops, pre races, I was thinking Rolex weekend

Even if there is not a car show those weekends, there is a car show that weekend. I saw the most incredible Fiat, took it to get coffee

In my view the pre-reunion is the best racing to watch. Virtually no on there, plenty of room to view. Was at the corkscrew 2 years ago and could find spot any where on the fence.

I will be flagging, so will have a good seat I hope

[As everyone has demised by now, NO 2023 version of Carmels Cars on the Ave. This said appears two groups are trying to take up some of the slack. Looks like Hagerty is upping the size and quality of the Tues PM slot in Pacific Grove, kinda cars on the AVE light in past year. Additionally the Ladies with Cars Charitable group " Prancing Ponies " will have an event Thurs Aug 2nd ( 1100am -400pm ) in Carmel on Ocean Ave. Open to lady only ( or those identifying female ) car entries with proceeds ( Entry fee's ) supporting their charitable endeavors.
