Can not begin to wrap my head the emotions that your family is currently experiencing. I hope you all find peace and comfort from each other. I also hope you find comfort in the peace that you were afforded by not having to experience the pain and suffering in the future as the illness took its toll.

I appreciate you sharing this with us. It gave me a jolt and reminded me to focus on what is truly important. We have a daughter that is a high school senior this semester and have been knee deep in college choices and decisions. In the stress of helping our daughter I have lost focus on what is important and have taken for granted the gift of family. This posting made me reflect on a few personal things and reminded me to get back to basics with my wife and daughter.

To honor Gwennie we went to dinner last night after mass and enjoyed some of her favorite foods. We took a bowl of fresh strawberries to enjoy with a pizza. We had a nice meal enjoying each other and appreciating the little things.

Much love, stay strong friend.

So very sorry for your loss. One of my grandsons had a virus and stopped breathing, turning blue. Thankfully EMS was able to get him going again. The pain of loosing a child is unimaginable.

Truly sorry for the loss of that beautiful child.
