Congratulations, Shaun! Will you be going to the Peterson to see the car and your work on display?

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and kind words, I appreciate it, especially on a day like today that started at 4AM.

I am pretty excited about the future.

I will look them up and see what time permits. I am definitely stopping at Schwartz's for some smoked meat and have to ask my hosts which bagel shop I need to go to. 35 years ago I drove a friend home to Ottawa and we stopped in Montreal for bagels. Shop was 8 feet wide, walk in, register in front of you, conveyor belt on the left where you pick up hot freshly made bagels coming out. There is little better, in the simple pleasure department, than a toasted Montreal sesame bagel with butter. Love them.

I became the garde manger at a French restaurant in high school. Started washing dishes and 40 hour weeks during junior and senior year I moved up from dishes to prep to line and then to be the cold food chef. It was addictive.

Fairmont is the answer to the bagel question. Some will say St. Viateur, but I find those ones slightly too sweet (a local told me they had a bit of a "honey wash" on them). Even if you have to go second best, you are still eating the second best bagels in the world.

Le Circuit Mont Tremblant is a an hour or so from the city. Maybe there will be a PCA event during your visit that you could get to? It's an incredible track.

The formula for success is not a secret. I know from personal experience that you work hard and that details and quality are important to you. You are also quite intelligent. Where can I buy stock in Tru6?

Thank you gentlemen. OS, definitely am, and I'm not done yet.

Jim, if I could hire 2+ guys/gals that are 75% of me at $30-50/hour, I'd be confident in selling stock. Sadly, I can't hire someone to photograph/clean/media blast/prep parts at $20/hour with room to grow to $30, right now.

Thanks! Montreal bagels are definitely the best in the world. Even my NYC friends like them.

Would love to go to Mont Tremblant sometime. Busy summer but who knows.

Your hard work paying off again, Shaun.
Congrats!
Montreal is such a cool city. We were there a few years ago and had a great time.

Shaun, you know if you ever want to hit SoCal and check out The Petersen you have a room at our place. About an hour without traffic from our house and lots to do in this area.

The only drawback is we might put your ass to work the kitchen or the grill, yer killing me with your food!

Congratulations man, well deserved! Your attention to detail is always evident in everything you persue.

Shaun, that looks great, should be extremely proud of your work

Really looking forward to hearing more about what you've been up to, if you can find time to leave your shop for a rest

Shaun, that is seriously great news. Congratulations!

In the mid 90s, , I worked in Production/Assembly/QA for a small semiconductor company in Gilbert, Az. We manufactured test interfaces for chip builders like Intel, AT&T, Motorola, etc.

I would sometimes retrieve our aluminum parts from the local anodizing company.

Oh em gee, that shop was fascinating to me. The gorgeousness on their work was just...gorgeous. It's art.

If I lived closer to you, I'd be that weird guy that shows up to take out the trash, or sweep your shop just to get close to it and learn more.

Thank you Captain! Hoping to plan May this week, will let you know. Been working on fish & chips for a month now and while they've been decent, have to go to several proper ones on the trip.

Let me know as soon as you book

I'll be back to building by then so will need fish and chips to build up my strength

Try to keep a Thurs/Fri. free as I know a very cool place to visit that serves good fish and chips at lunch time

If I can't get a table there not a problem as a mobile fish and chip van comes to our village in the evening

Will do and I think late May as the days keep flying by. Would love to spend a few days helping with the build if you like. Need a local bike shop two for a box for the wings.
