Falling TV Prices...

Needed some paint this am...went to Walmart and my search led me through the entertainment center.

65 inch 4K Onn Roku tv's for $298
A couple friends have Onn's and like them a lot.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/onn-65-Class-4K-UHD-2160P-LED-Roku-Smart-TV-HDR-100012587/476550098?athbdg=L1102

My 65 inch Vizio (which cost me $998) is almost 8 years old....very tempting to replace it.

My main concern about replacing it is....how to get rid of my old 65" tv?

Hammer it down until it fits in the 65 gallon garbage roller??

^^^ It all depends on your seating distance.
If I sat three feet from my tv....a 15" screen would work.

One thing I really like about the big screen tv's is the weight.
This Onn tv weighs in at 40 lbs.

I remember 25" tube tv's weighing in at around 60 lbs. or more.

Put it on the curb and it will vanish all by itself.

And if it's still there a day or two later, put a sign on it "50 bucks" and it will be gone in the next hour. No $50 of course LOL

Yes... tv prices are incredibly low now.
A third of the price from 8 years ago...and better quality.

Super deflation.

I'm planning on a new TV. The Sony 4K TVs are nice but I may research it a bit for higher resolution models. Probably a better idea to get new glasses other than a high res' TV, but that's life.

I just like Sony stuff.

I was a strictly Sony buyer until I saw that the cheaper brands had the same quality picture.
Prob the reason Sony has dropped off in it's TV production.

Why? You can always place tape over the camera.

Second this...Costco's extended warranties are amazing. 82" Samsung hit by lightening. Costco's repair service rebuilt the electronics, at no cost to me, and the TV was 5 years old...only place I will ever buy a TV
