Do you prefer your bacon fatty or meaty?
Pork gives me gas but I love me some bacon. Wifey prefers it with less greasy but I say fat is makes it taste great. Regardless, we get our bacon from Costco. Their applewood smoked bacon is the bomb. A relative gets theirs from a butcher by the slab and they trim it off themselves.

I think bacon is fatty, no way around it (unless you're canadian).
There might be a little variation, but I've never seen it a lot different from what is below. Actually, that photo is probably about the leanest bacon that I've ever seen. ![]() I don't like to eat bacon that has been cooked so the fat is still chewy, so I cook it more well done so the fat is crispy.

Neither. I don't understand the love of bacon. It is OK, but I prefer sausage as a side for breakfast.
I just pass on bacon. Meh.

A lot of grocery store bacon is just good, but there is some bacon that's really, really tasty.

We love the bacon crumbles from costo, its a giant bag o bacon for 12$ and a good way to add bacon flavor to things easily.
Otherwise the bacon I prefer is turkey bacon, which I report with great shame. Real bacon in any quantity is just too greasy for me.

Meaty. I don't eat the fatty stuff.
And I try not to eat the cheap chemical laden stuff if I can. No idea of what is served up in cafes, but I'll eat it. But at home I buy it from a butcher who has a smoke house and does his own bacon and hams. |

I trim much of the fat off of the meat.

My wife went to Ireland a while back. They call our (US) bacon "streaky bacon." She said the stuff they eat in Ireland is much leaner.
She didn't invite me on the trip so I have no opinion. I bought a gold 911 while she was gone as sort of a payback. Oops. |

Roger that! I rarely eat bacon these days, and usually only in a burger.

I don't care as long as it's not crisp. I've always like my bacon "floppy."

Less fat, more meat cooked slowly just short of 'crisp'

Buying bacon is one of the biggest gambles in life. It looks great in the package, but when you open it, the label was covering all the fat.

I like my bacon crispy, not floppy. My favorite breakfast is bacon and eggs only. It’s been a while since I’ve had it though.

I was on a cruise ship and at the breakfast buffet I headed for the bacon . I thought OMG I can't eat this (mainly fat), I'll die of a coronary before the cruise is over. Next day I say a sign at the buffet that said "English Bacon" . I checked it out and it was bacon as I know it. So I did my usual buffet style of triple bacon and eggs, and a bit of tomato to shut the GF up about my eating. A beautiful breakfast.
