If Porsche made a pick up truck
You think it will sell in the cities or suburbs? For sure, they wouldn't be buying too many in Montana, Idaho or Texas. I am thinking Honda's Ridgeline, or Toyota's direct competition taking shares of the American mid to small size truck market and take advantage of the hood badge. Look at how well their pepper mobile or the Macan is selling.

If Land Rover couldn't make a sales success with a truck, Porsche won't. Besides, the chief appeal would be the US market and truck buyers here hate change and furriners in equal amounts. People have gotten "buy American!" notes left on their Teslas.

A Porsche pickup would be $180,000, and be such a niche market few would be sold. They have more varied and optioned vehicles than they can supply efficiently now. Two ranges of SUV, three lines of sports cars, an electric car, and multiple hybrids. Heck the 911 alone must have 25 variations from the Rally versions, GT3RS full on track car, 911 race car versions for IMSA or Le Mans, to the very base bottom end 911 that is still $120 grand.
If they honestly though the market could support a $180,000 to $250,000 pickup they would build it.

Could it fit a hot tub in the back? Or would I still have to tow it?

Supposedly the Ford Raptor sells like hotcakes in Texas.
Many trucks are an image sale. Sounds about right for a P-truck. |

If they make one, it'll never haul livestock feed.

If Porsche made a pickup truck
Would the Porsche pickup suck? Would it suck upon a road? Would it suck squashing a toad? Would it suck just one small bit? While hauling a Porsche piece of ____? If Porsche made a pickup truck Would Porsche pickup suck? Yes, if Porsche made a pickup truck The truck that Porsche made would suck. Apologies to Dr. Seuss

If Porsche made a pickup it would:
Cost way too much Be built on a VW platform Weigh 2-3 tons Have too much tech Not be serviceable except at the dealership and, Not in in my driveway I love my air cooled Carrera but the Porsche I fell in love with and respected doesn't exist anymore. ![]()
