I've been sub'd to /r/ufos for like... idk... over 10 years, and this is the biggest thing I've ever seen happen, when a senior USAF guy who's specialized in unidentified aircraft goes public with this, testifies to congress for 11 hours, and starts doing interviews. Initially, it was only on this website yesterday:

Pretty crazy stuff. Urge all of you to read this, this represents a HUGE paradigm shift in how people are talking about this, no X files jokes, no discussion about 'objects' but real talk about possession of non-human craft, and bodies. As far as I am aware, this is the highest ranking military guy to ever step forward like this...

I have seen them, as I have written many times before.

No aliens, just the thing being flown.

Definitely interesting...as far as sightings go, too many credible witnesses like Paul to not believe that something is out there.

Not really much to add, other than this is a pretty significant change in how this subject is being discussed.

Until about 5 years ago, you were laughed at and people basically tried to destroy your career/credibility for seriously talking about it, and then the government admitted UNIDENTIFIED objects. They sort of always stressed it doesn't mean aliens, it just means it isn't identified.

This is a big shift because the guy, who again, is a high ranking USAF officer directly related to these fields, comes straight out and says US gov has been involved in salvage operations for decades, and has recovered crashed AND intact craft from non-human origin, and in the interviews, he even says yes, sometimes bodies. He also states that the goal of this is purely to reverse engineer technology for a military advantage, which suggests other countries may be doing the same thing.

As for the actual smoking gun evidence, that isn't shared because we don't have security clearance and what he shared WITH congress is classified... but like.... look at what congress people are saying on twitter:

This isn't evidence of anything... but it seems like a huge tipping point in how things are being discussed in a professional journalistic manner.

I have a ton of questions I don't have any answers for, but this is one of the most interesting stories in the news I've read about in the past few years, so I thought it'd be worth sharing.

We captured an unidentified object at high speed across the face of a full moon with the MX15 sensor.

Never was able to ID it, but faster than anything in the atmo could go.

Fermi paradox. I kinda hope(d) that we are alone and the universe is our playground.

As a life long science fiction fan, I really hope to live long enough to hear and see concrete irrefutable proof of extraterrestrial life. Doubly so if that they have actually visited Earth.

Any civilization that can travel interstellar distances must be super long lived, or more advanced than we can begin to fathom.

There are more stars in the skies than grains of sand on all of Earth, there can't be much special or unique about Earth.

I also read a lot of science fiction.

One common theme is slowly releasing information to the general public so it does not create a panic.

Wonder if this step one, meaning he is being told to say all of this......

If the little green men came here, we wouldn't stand a chance unless they adhere to the Star Trek prime directive. If they come here, they want something from us/Earth and humans are just food or labor or other resources. We're just meat bags full of water.

Yep... Just the idea that something is out there way more advanced than we are fills me with dread.

I just hope the first contact goes well.

There's a lot of really strange coincidences in carvings of ancient civilizations spaced really far apart. We go visit dolphins sometimes just so say what's up, not necessarily dominate them, even if we had the technology to kill all of them.

Well if they are indeed already visiting, they already ARE more advanced and yet have not yet eradicated us despite all the stupid stuff we've been doing for centuries, and ongoing wars, planet failure etc... so I gotta go with benevolent or we are a "case study of what not to do" they're reporting on for a science project, or " they love our music" .

For the military to start releasing footage, it's getting pretty interesting and a lot less "fringe"

I've always been amazed at how many UFOs crash. The greys should spend less time anally probing Whitley Streiber and more time doing maintenance.

We can't control what they do but we can control what we do.

I'm an optimist and we'll be fine in the long run because we've always landed on our feet.

or its over, and we never had chance. not ideal, but also nothing we can do about it.

until there is real, public, evidence, i remain unconvinced that UFOs are more than current black government programs.
