also, who says it would be the next owner? it could be 2 or 3 owners down the line easily. part of the story for example references this mural that is painted in the bathroom. when i bought the house, i asked the pervious owners about it, and they didnt know who painted it, and they had known the owner before them too, and he didnt know. so i made sure to tell whoever finds the note, that the mural dates back at least to the early 1990s, and we dont know who painted it, but tried to preserve it. by the time someone else is pulling out this tub, it easily could be 50 years old.

some people hate fun.

Great thread CP! We're wrapping up the three year renovation on our house (I call it polishing the turd)...both going insane at the same rate so that gives me solace. I'm going to incorporate some of these time capsule ideas

Learn from my misery and never remodel a house while living in it. You'll see!

edit: Contractors just left at 11:00 for two hour lunch/siesta. Noticed they fenced in wife's Shasta trailer and my lawn tractor/trailer with no gates. I'm going upstairs to watch a movie. Wife will sort it out when she gets home.
