Are Super Carrera's allowed on the Island?
What's the gas price there?

You mean Targa Island?

Why, yes.

BTW, you keep your cars cleaner than I keep...well, never-mind.

Yes, I thought the same. It won't be flipped...he already owns a 97 Porsche Turbo and a VW Jetta race car with 600 hp.
He said it's always been his quest to own an air-cooled Porsche.

Bye, but I didn't go anywhere.

Now you have room in your garage for a Fit!

I keep going back and forth on selling my 83 SC. All original except for a few updates. C2 ragtop and one of "Dave's Balls" 917 shift knob.

Life keeps getting in the way and it sits. And then I find time to take it for a run and and I think "No way in Hell". I'm still on the fence.

97 993 sounds like he already has an air cooled?

^^^ We talked about so many things that I might have the year he stated wrong.
He showed me pics on his phone....and they don't look like a 97 that I just googled.

He might have said 07....I'm not sure.

Tells you how much I follow the newer years.

Thanks! Glad you still have another that you can run around in. Really like the ducktail 911's.

^^^ The previous owner was a PPOT member when I bought it from him in 2004...I forget his user name.
He shipped it from Colorado Springs to me in MI.

Not really a 911 ragtop kinda guy, but that's a beauty!

I sold my last of six 911s when I retired (for the final time) a year ago. Have been thinking about getting another to take me into my golden years but even the less desirable iterations are quickly reaching the asking price stratosphere.

The one thing I will miss the most of the SC is the brake feel and the steering.
The SC brakes have an old time 'stand on the pedal' feel that doesn't give up. The Carrera is more mushy.

The steering is similar...but the SC still wins.
