^^^ I think this is a great solution.
2 years ago, when I surprised my dad with an unannounced visit for his 79th birthday, I ended up taking him to urgent care (I can’t recall why).
The doctor we saw was retiring and it was her last shift and she was moving back to a town 10 minutes from my farm so she could be close to family and have better health care as she aged. She strongly encouraged my dad to do the same. It was shocking to hear this from a doctor in Parksville / Qualicum Beach where people from Alberta often go to retire. She said, I can always come visit this place, thr ocean will always be there but it’s more important to have good access to health care and family as we age.
