				Any YSR Fans on here?

My wife bought this YSR 80 from a Museum about 4.5 hours from us back in 2014. I had it running back then. Then it sat. She was nostalgic and wanted another as she got her motorcycle license riding one back in the late 1990's.

This one is a unicorn. Likely the lowest Milage/kms and most original of any in the world . Happy to see one with lower Kms.... All the original decals still on it. This one has 407 original Kms. 4 of which was me pushing it from home to the shop lol. At any rate, after sitting for 9 years, I got it down to the shop to get it running. Drained the fuel, and gearbox oil. Flushed brake fluid. Primed and bled oil injection. Cleaned and lubed the chain. Installed a new battery. Rebuilt the carb and got it running. What a hoot to ride. The bike fits her as she is 5' tall. I just fit and can ride it easily at my 5'10" height. It looks good in our reception area. We also have a second one disassembled that I really want to put a 125 motor into, just because.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

My wife had one back when we were young. She’d crawl all over that thing trying to keep up with me on a twisty road ( I had a cbr600f then).if I recall it topped out maybe 50-60 mph but damned if she wouldn’t wring every last bit out of that little thing. She looked sexy as hell on it too!

Not fast, but accelerates quicker than most traffic drives. Will do about 65mph.

Most ended up as a race bikes for different series. There are plenty of 50cc ones out there still, but fewer 80's. Being all stock it is quite quiet, and this one needs to stay 100% original. Cheers

My brother had a full race YSR 50 in his first year at UVIC. He converted it to electric and then lost interest.

I think he sold it during Covid to a guy on Facebook looking for one.

^^^^ cool story! Would love to see the electric conversion. I am still petrol all the time, and will keep the second one that way with a bigger motor.

We used to race YSR50's in the early 90's. Nicky Haden was a regular around Texas tracks when he was "13" (the minimum racing age). I was 6'3" back then and another friend was about 6'4" so not much problem with height.

I learned how to use a clutch on a YZ 80. This would be a hoot. If you ever wanted to sell PM me the cost. Coincidentally I’m in Langley last week of July!
