Rebuilt some SU carbs, did a video, never done this before
Figured some of the gearheads here might appreciate this; I'm working on a modified 73 Jaguar XJ6 with triple SUs/intake from an e type, and manual trans swap.
Anyway, had zero exposure to SU carbs other than my old mini, and I never touched them. This car has sat a long time, so carbs needed to be rebuilt. Kind of a clever little way to meter fuel, no idea how well they work, but interesting!

Very interesting video and perfectly timed. No faffing about with lots of good information. The only suggestion I'd make is maybe invest in better microphone. The audio is better than some on YouTube but a good mike would be a real improvement IMO FWTW.
Meanwhile I'm contemplating this. The infamous Aqualung ![]() - Not 100% sure yet but I'm looking for a good car right now. ![]() ![]()

![]() IMO a car like this does not benefit from patina. (EDIT: I subscribed to your channel. Please keep those videos coming) ![]()

Cool video. How long did it take to edit? What camera did you use to shoot it?

Thanks guys. Surprised about the audio quality comment, I'm using a go pro media mod with the external mic:
![]() Took an hour or two to edit. Using a Go Pro Hero 9 Black. 10 doesn't seem worth it to upgrade. Just got a box from germany this morning, rest of the jag parts, let's goooo

The three SU E-Types are a notorious BEYOTCH to tune. Two, not so bad. But the cool factor is way off the charts.
SU's are so simple and rewarding. What a killer project! |

I thought the sounds was fine...perfect selection of the sped up segements. This was your first video??? Impressed me!
Most Importantly, you made me think..."Hey, I can do that" by following the video.
