^^^ LOL .... between that and the new dreams .... this sux :D

I'm down about 35-40 lbs. in 4 months. I am eating less and exercising more. But...
I'm also on Wegovy/semi-glutide. Many in my extended family are/were type II diabetic. I have struggled with weight issues since my 20s. One cousin was on a 1200 calorie diet with exercise and her body would not drop weight. She reached over 300 lbs! Both of us are using forms of semi-glutide. I am convinced there is a genetic component here. Over time, we've become insulin resistant, and the weigh packs on. I was cycling 200 miles a week and my weight would only drop so far. Since starting to use semi-glutide, I do not overeat now. I look at the food and only want a smaller amount. It is not just an appetite suppressant; it slows down your digestion system. I actually feel like I have a "full" signal to stop eating, where before I'd eat everything on my plate and start eyeing Mrs. Beard's plate. I am eating less and exercising, which is really the only way to lose weight. But my body is responding correctly. My cousin has, so far, lost over 60 pounds. She is also continuing and will stay on until her weight stabilizes. I am doing the same. I also believe this is a rest of my life thing. I expect that the dosage will be lower, 10-20% of the dose I'm on right now. But my weight will need to stabilize first. I have another 40-50 lbs. to go to be in the correct Body Fat Percentage. I liken this to cholesterol drugs. I have friends who eat right, exercise and still have high cholesterol. They just internally produce too much. They take a dose to control the level. I'm taking pictures ~monthly and the results are impressive. I'll do a thread here when I get to near my goal weight. |
^^^^ That's just awesome James! Keep on keepin' on :)....

The problem is after about 9 months your body has fully adapted to it and your appetite starts to come back with a vengeance.
You need to have mentally reset what a portion is or you’ll start to eat too much and gain weight back. |
If you go off the drugs. My doctor thinks it is better to keep on a much lower maintenance dose after the weigh loss.
