Yup. In my 930 Slantnose and it got pretty warm. I had to take it for a spirited drive to cool it down afterwards… the clutch part was no problem.

I drive this thing in a long parade..
3 speed, heavy clutch, manual steering. I feel it for a couple days afterwards... ![]()

Lots of times in a 1947 Dodge truck. Don't do it if you have a bad clutch or a sketchy cooling system. A little practice before hand won't hurt.

I wrecked the clutch of an F-150 dragging a float in a parade during a pouring-down deluge. Best part was all the kids bawling their eyes out wearing garbage bags as ponchos.

If idling too long, the temp rises.
Just put it in neutral and rev it up to 2500 rpm or so for several seconds. You will actually see the temp gauge going down as the fan and water pump circulate faster. |
