JB has written so many great songs....

I've seen him three times in concert.

I can't think of a better coming of age movie than Fast Times, that song played a key role in the soundtrack, that's for sure.

And Phoebe Cates coming out of the pool is probably THE most paused scene in VCR/DVD history.

That's the only part of the movie we remembered well that or the dude smacking the monkey when she walked in on him.

That was great.

I remember watching Glen Frey talk about Jackson:

https://stevenpressfield.com/2013/02/jackson-brownes-piano-coming-through-the-floor/

Every morning we’d wake up and we’d hear Jackson’s piano coming through the floor from the apartment below. He would play one verse, then play it again, and again and again. Twenty times in a row, till he had it exactly the way he wanted.

“Then he’d move to the next verse. Again, twenty times. It went on for hours. I don’t know how many days we listened to this same process before it suddenly hit us: This is how you write a song. This is how it’s done.

“That changed everything for us.”

I recall a dozen or so years ago, I was going through a bad breakup. I had a desk job at the time, and would listen to music through headphones all day.

"Late for the Sky" and "Fountain of Sorrow" were a big part of the catharsis that kept me from just totally spinning out - just having something (that I considered) deep and moving to hang my feelings on at the time, I was able to eventually punch through and get on with my life. Jackson Browne is a hell of a songwriter.

Didn't JB write most, or all, of "Take it Easy"?

Wife and I attended a JB concert a few weeks ago. It did not go well. The crowd got very restless hearing songs no one knew. At one point a guy stood up and yelled "Play some Jackson Browne songs" and people applauded. He changed guitars after every song or went back and forth to the piano. It really made the performance very choppy. People were complaining as we we're leaving.

We love his songs- but it was one of the most disappointing concerts we've attended.

You and all of us won't be here if not for those songs. I realize you're probably tired of playing them but they made you who your are. Play the songs we like.

Great version. David Lindley would approve.

Without a doubt one of the best recording artist in the world. “Runnin on empty” is my go to, all time favorite song. Brings back a lot of memories…
