To confirm my acceptance into Gruppe B I took the P-car out last night for a little drive. I threw on my Pelican DE shirt (thanks Souk) and opened the garage door. Turned the key to bring my 2.2 to life. I have to say that I think she knew that we had found a place. Everything seemed to fall into place. The night was perfect for top off driving. She was smooth and fast (well for a T). Shifting of the 901 was flawless. I screamed through passes with the music of my 6 filling my ears (radio delete option remember). Echo’s of my exhaust note bounced off canyon walls and I could hear the faint chant, Gruppe B, Gruppe B, Gruppe B. We drove with a passion, a purpose, a simple smooth dance of car and driver that I have only heard about.
I arrived home just after midnight and put her into the garage. As I turned off the light I noticed a glow about my car that hadn’t been there before. It was truly Gruppe B euphoria!

Trying not to work again today.

Shawn, the sticker with the sunburst looks good to me option B size.

K9, Just incredible.

And yes Shawn B it is.

OK..B is good.

In the meantime, my Bastard Banner that Smitty created will hold a spot! Thanks!

Byers, I too went out for a drive last night. I wanted to test any pressure drop on hard braking. I run with 2.5MM cam orifice/fittings. And coming down from 90 at a rate that just about had my tires screaming, no drop in pressure beyond my normal idle pressure.

All is right with my Bastard! He's due for an external cooler installation to cope with this heat we finally got in the midwest!

Woof! Woof! (official battle cry???...No. 1 ??)

This is quite a bit of excitement for a sticker, especially since the name is totally stolen from a very famous class of rally racing. But, don't let that stop you. Why not just call the group Formula 1 or maybe even Nascar?

Calling it a "GRuppe" certainly lacks creativity too doesn't it? At least the SCWDP came up with something creative. "GRuppe B", does the B stand for wanna B? Sure R Gruppe didn't invent the word Gruppe, but they sure started using it YEARS before this "burst of inspiration and creativity" hit you guys.

ROTFLMFAO

Plus think how easy it would be to just go buy a NASCAR sticker at the local Wal Mart.

Here's to creativity

Degeneration

Being a member of the R Gruppe requires me to open my big mouth:

As one of (2) 914 owners accepted into the R Gruppe, I have to say that exclusivity is the name of the game. There are already numerous "catch all"clubs - POC and PCA to name a few - so your Gruppe B(oredom) idea is too little too late. You mid-year "Bastards" - as you have so appropriately titled yourself - are trying to be something you're not ... cool.

The R Gruppe is the original hot-rod club, and anything else is just a cheap knockoff. You wouldn't put false Fuchs on your P-car, would you? NO! So why join a sub-par club that claims to be original yet bites off the factory and can't come up with a club name on their own?

Gruppe B? Already been done people ... if you're so intent on using the word Gruppe, why not try Gruppe Z(ero)? Or how about Gruppe L(ame)? Just a few suggestions

Umm.. Mr. racea911...I kinda think that is the whole point. You can't see the forest because of all the trees.

We use the term GRuppe with no shame, because we will take a failed ideal and make it what it should have been from the beginning. As too "B" I do not believe a patent has been placed upon it. As for Wal Mart...do you think you could get us a good deal on some stickers from there since you are the door greeter?

Mr. 914.. I can understand your bitterness as it is reflected in your very title. Enough said.

Be careful...do not anger the troops you R Guppies and SCWDPoopers!

Review our mission statement (number one? we there yet?) and you will find that our cause is fueled by a true passion for hot rodding of our cars, not the need to belong to an elite group. We don't pretent to be elite...nor would we want to be seen as an elite gruppe.

Gruppe nor B have no claims laid upon them!..But! Gruppe B does.

You R Guppies have lost your path! Hot Rodding is not your main passion these day is it? Elitism is more likely I smell fear!

WOOF! WOOF!
