johncj8989,

I nearly got behind you! I felt my pride swell and my load lightened. But Man! Those SC guys are mean and so used to this rough and tumble world. I'll take my petite fanny-car with its time-cert bolstered engine and live alone. But look out you heavy, underpowered, and wide-reared SCs! I'm gunnin' for ya! (The truth hurts, doesn't it?) Grin.

Why can I see right thru the interior of that car? Man that thing is going to be light with absolutely no sheet metal in the interior! You can drive it like Fred Flinstone.

Are you doing all the rust repair yourself? If so, you are an ambitious and brave man!

How about

"SIRL - Stuck In Rebuild Land"

Or

OK, here's the middle year car code name; "TEVOC". You say this word by pretending you are a Klingon commander, putting your right hand straight out, make a fist, then swiftly use the fist to thump your chest, while saying, at the same time "TEVOC"! (Pronounced TEE-VOK)

What does it stand for? The Exxon Valdez Of Cars.

Sorry. It came to me on the edge of sleep last night.

racea911,

You can see straight through because I cut the rear seats and package shelf out so that I can put in an aluminum access panel. It makes it much easier to get to everything from the top. The rust isn't bad at all; the worst is right in the rockers, which you see in the picture. I have new rockers and a cut section of the doorpost from a donor car ready to go. Other wise there is no other cancer.

So far the outline is for 2150 lbs. with me in it and a full tank of gas!!

YABA DABA DO!!!!!!

TEVOC has a nice ring to it. Instead of a secret handshake we could use the chest thumping gesture. LOL
