Once again Hurricane Lee or what's left of it

Heading right strait for my house, Saturday and Sunday. It seems to be speeding up which I think is a good thing, hope it goes easy on us.

The winds look doable...speed will will help with water issues.

You folks know the drill.

Best.

Just renewed our wind insurance and flood insurance…I feel for you brother. Idalia turned out to be a non-issue for us…hopefully Lee will cooperate for you.

Geez, up to Lee. I somehow missed Jose and Katia. Hope by the time it gets up there it's blown out.

Looks like it will be a Tropical Storm when it hits land again. That water is COLD.

Never know about the direction....Toronto will attest to that.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Hazel

The effects of Hazel were particularly unprecedented in Toronto because of a combination of heavy rainfall during the preceding weeks, a lack of experience in dealing with hurricanes, and the storm's unexpected retention of power despite traveling 1,100 km (680 mi) over land. The storm stalled over the Toronto area, and although it was now extratropical, it remained as powerful as a category 1 hurricane. To help with the cleanup, 800 members of the military were summoned, and a Hurricane Relief Fund was established that distributed $5.1 million (2022: $55.6 million) in aid.

I'm reading Lee is headed north, so the impacted areas will be the New England coastline and further north in Canada, with the main impacts in New England being winds of 40-50+ mph and storm surge up to 3-4'. The storm is forecast to come ashore in eastern Maine, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and some rain/flooding is also expected there. I don't know that part of Canada, but the most affected US areas looks rather low population.

Some nice charts at the end of this
