Harbor Freight/Stanley Tools Scam??

I got an email from Harbor Freight. They have my address and I get email from them all the time. I checked the URL against the old emails and it is the same.

I supposedly won a $170.00 Stanley mechanics tool set.

Has any other Harbor Freight users here gotten this? I have a feeling they send it to everyone.

All you have to do was send them my shipping address and pay $7.xx for shipping using a Master Card or VISA.
I have a Master Card debit card that I was planning to cancel. Haven't used it in months and I have $15 in that account. So I went ahead and filled out the form. Other than $15 out of an account I am going to cancel anyway, how much damage are they going to do to me?

Got one this morning and seem to almost daily. They land in my spam folder and rightfully so. Its a scam.

You can see the parsed url is not Harbor Freight.

When I got to the HF website, I don't see any Stanley tools anywhere on their website. I have to assume it's bogus.

They also use ACE hardware a lot Telling you that you won a $100 gift card. I get the HF one about once or twice a week.

I never give them my real phone number or email and certainly not my mailing address.

Radio Shack used to ask for addresses or phone numbers. I just declined.

I have received the email from "Harbor Freight" and it has to be 100% scam as they don't have my information. I just mark it as spam and flush it.

Seeing this I looked in my spam folder. Yep, HF and Lowe's free tools. Right.

HF only sends out the 20% off coupon by email now. No more flyers for 3 years now. If you don't give them an email you don't get a coupon. Unless there is another way other than creating an account online or giving them an email in the store.

Funny, I have given them my email 2wice and both times they entered it wrong. 6th grade max educmucation is the reason for that. I just tell them now it's too complicated for them. I make a lot of friends that way.

Harbor Freight doesn't sell name-brand tools like Stanley, Black & Decker, etc.

I too have been getting this spam daily.

I shop at HF and belong to the ITC for good deals. I too have been receiving legit HF emails as well as the scams. Here is an email I received from HF regarding the scam email issue. This might help and they also provided an email address to forward the scam emails to for review
