2011 Prius heater stuck in the hot setting

Daughter's rig. >200,000 miles, well maintained. I'll probably take a look-see this weekend. Says she turned on the heat in the morning, but now it won't turn off. Fan operates normally, and she can change modes to defrost, dash, floor, etc. Just cannot change temp. Blows hot. TIA

Does it have a slider lever for the temp control? Or is it too new for that?

My CVPI (crown vic police interceptor) has the same problem… great in the winter for the first 10 minutes, not so great in the summer…

Paul- thanks bro... yer cape is showing, Capt Obvious. Steve- no lever, just button manipulated. UB- so true. Been digging through online solutions, haven't really find any that fit this issue, yet. I'll keep searching, please keep the suggestions coming. All are welcome.

How about a bad blend door actuator?

That is my guess also, Toyota part 87106h, looks like there are a couple actuators for the flaps, located on the drivers side of the air box.

I will share this… When I replaced the heater assembly in my Tundra a couple years ago, the immobilizer is mounted to the heater module right against the fire wall. If you do replace your heater module with a used one, BE ABSOLUTELY SURE that you use the original immobilizer module that came with your Prius… Don’t ask how I know this. The Tundra has a couple of cams that are sorta like a record and stylus and as the cam (record) turns, more than one of the stylus needles actuate various flaps. I suspect the Prius may be similar.
