^^^ Agree. Electric=Bad, Ugly Electric = Really Bad.

That vehicle, under the ugliness, has some very nice features.

So did the Tucker. And the Edsel. The Pacer. The Aztec.

Redemption isn't in the cards for the cybertruck; the court of public opinion has rendered a verdict and history will remember it as a clown car.

I was sure I was going to get a Cybertruck, but after waiting for years on the waitlist the Ford Lightning became available and I decided to go with that since early stories about the Cybertruck weren’t so great. EV trucks are going to have growing pains but they will be awesome in the next decade. What made me want the cybertruck so badly was the promise of ~530 mile range…..that never came to fruition. Maybe someday I’ll get one…I actually think they look cool. But I love the way my Lightning looks leveled on 35s.

Cybertruck - Thoughts?

Surprised to see our good friends in Maui took delivery of their’s in July, they ordered it four years ago. Impressive interior and tech, thick body panels to deter door dings. It’s the “BEAST” edition so its tech load is quite impressive. 48” single wiper which is interesting to say the least. Interior blind spots are not as bad as I expected. 35” tires and it’s a three motor design. Acceleration is impressive at nearly 8,000 lbs and will stick you in the seat.

Exterior design……………..

At work, I began the Cyber Truck challenge for fun. Up for grabs are two awards for the crew who is the first to get involved in a news worthy event. It’s all in good fun and made these via the 3D printer.

If I had the resources to afford one, answer is unequivocally “NO”. I would rather put that towards a Scale51 kit plane, way more street cred . I have been burned in the whole EV/hybrid vehicle situation by our 2015 Chevy Volt being held hostage at the Cheverolet dealer waiting for a warranty replacement in the battery. Has been sitting there since January 15th, 2024 with no indication of a return to service date. Drove my 95 GMC K1500 with 350K until it went down in April due to an unknown electrical issue . Was forced into getting yet another commuter car and exactly did what I said I was not, however with no vehicle to drive I had to do something. Dealers just do not care and just tell consumers “not our problem, we cover parts n labor” all while smiling their best condescending grin. They have revamped the whole loaner car program due to the “parts supply chain” and refuse to supply a temp vehicle solution. Our 2015 Volt was a novelty in 15, nothing like what the market is today. And before the “nay sayers” begin chiming in, what I am saying is fact, we are currently living it.

So understandably….. I say “” to EV’s now. Just imagine what’s going to happen when today’s EV’s batteries tank due to normal wear n tear in 10 years, and people are forced to wait nearly a year for a new battery? How in the known universe is this suppose to be “better” for the environment?

Jus sayin

Bottom Line:
If yur jonesin for a CT, and have the resources to obtain one, go for it. Just be sure to post your experiences.

That looks really nice in that setting.
The Cybertruck is the closest thing to a Countach to ever release in my life time.
I'm not into the software and smartphone side that appears to go with it.
Thing is big.
I want a late 80's or early 90's light pickup.

I didn't realize the Plaid version came in the Cybertruck. Looks like there's a little quality control issue going with body panels peeling away or falling off...

It's just such a piece of trash. The Ford Lightning looks great, though!

Saw this Cybertruck wannabe at the local Whole Foods market. Was even parked at a TESLA charging station to look more convincing

Despite all negative comments, I still see them on the road quite often. Saw two within a half hour the other day. I guess there's lots of folks out there who want the world to know that they can afford a $80-100K dumpster-on-wheels...

India was clearly well ahead of the times in trash bin design.
