How heavy is your keyring?

heavy enough i've taken to leaving it in the truck when running in to the stores for a quick stop. I can just lock the truck from the outside.

very. i have lots of keys. 5 cars, plus the garage door opener, 3 houses, bike lock, and bottle opener.

Used to have more keys than a Columbian drug lord, but I keep them separate now and just grab the one I need.

I have the steel ring, one house key, one key for the El Camino, and the 911 key. I keep the hangar key and the airplane key in my aviation headphone bag, and I don't have any other keys except the fob to my wife's Macan. I keep it in my briefcase for a rare occasions I drive it.

Car keys on different ring than everything else

I've got it pared down to about as minimal as it can get. The problem that I have these days is that we have 2 cars, and both are fairly modern, so I've got the key to the Porsche which is moderately bulky, but not too bad.


And then I've also got the fob for the Outback which is bigger and more bulky.


So with those and the few other keys that I have, there's more stuff in my pocket than I care for. I used to have one of these

So I could only carry the half that I needed, but it added more bulk when I carried everything, and I found that most of the time I was carrying everything. So now I have just a split ring with keys.

If I need a key, I take it off the rack. I have ruined enough pockets in the years I was working. No rings for me.

Very light, as most ignition switches - way back when cars actually had them - weren't particularly robust.

It's largely a non-issue with newer cars/push button starts.

Separate key chain for every car with only one other key on it for my business. House is touchpad.

A separate ring for each car and each is paired with a single house key.
All locks and gates on the home and cabin are keyed alike.

I just grab the ring for the car I'm taking.
If I'm not taking a car, I have another with a small fob, a house key and the mailbox key.

Interesting and like many others:

Each car has a "key" with a house key on the ring. That is it.

Each car has a garage door opener integrated into the car except the LC. That opener might has well be from the 80's.

For all other locks, barns, stables, trailer balls (I have expensive ones and they are locked when in use, stored in the trucks when not) etc., I had a set of keys made for every car for every application, $10 bucks a car.

I leave the keys in the car if they are garaged.

911 key on right. Very light. The other is push button start so doesn’t matter but not very heavy. If Byron sees the bottle opener maybe he will recognize the Ringle quick release bottle cap opener. Bought it from the bike store I worked at in 1990 and has been on my ring 33 years. A good investment

Not heavy at all. I mostly keep one car key per key ring.

I have 2 ignition keys and a door key on my 356 coupe key ring, and my Speedster's key and the VW's key on my VW key ring. I don't know how either of them came about - it happened a long time ago.

Car key, house key and my wedding band on a simple key ring, that's it.
Why my wedding band you may ask? Well in years of working in manufacturing, wearing rings is a no no as they could get caught in equipment and cause a serious injury so I've always kept my wedding band on my key ring.
