Sold it 'cause I was tired of not being able to make up my driveway into the garage in the winter. Should have bought snow tires instead. Oh well....

I have had a few Jaguar XJ's including a series II coupe. These are two I had in Seattle years ago. I've thought about another 4 door. They are easier to get parts for. When well cared for, they are a great driving car. Not fast but just something about the way they feel and handle for a large car. Unfortunately finding one well cared for is difficult. I'm also in more of a downsizing mode so getting into something new is not likely to happen.

1987 Buick Regal Turbo T, I just can't shake that one.

I would buy another Panamera Turbo, when modified a beast of a family hauler and highway cruiser.

I had a couple of old Corollas and Celicas many moons ago. Checking the price of these cars I can get a used GR86 for the same price and I'm sure it's 10 times the car.

Id love to have another 1969 z 28. I fullfilled most of my boyhood dreams in that car .

My first car; I bought it in HS and did a bunch of work to it. Got hit by a drunk and it was totaled otherwise I might still have it?

I keep thinking another would be fun, but I don’t drive my 911 as much as I should and don’t have garage space for a second nice car.

Yes, especially a 4 cylinder. Such a carefree and fun ride. I'm always a little nervous in my 914-6. I remember putting my 914-4 engine bottom end together in my lap while watching TV.

I had an 86 T type.
Funny I sold it to a young Marine with a new family.
This Marine said all his buddies had seen my ad and told him to look at my T type for sale.
So he is looking at the car and I opened the hood and said "there's the turbo", and he said "it has a turbo?" :D
After a test drive he bought it and took it back to camp Pendleton.

I would do another 280Z.

Yep, people don't realize that the T-Type was the predecessor to the Grand National and later GNX.

I liked the turbo-T, the sleeper version of the Grand National.

The one I had was a 12 second car without even trying. A chip, a dump pipe and slicks. When I sold it, I took the guy for a ride around town very slow at first. As soon as he saw what it would do in 1st and 2nd gear, he just said "I'll take it".

1994, a seven year old car then. Had all the rust you'd expect from a GM product of that era.

True, but they didn't come alive until they started putting intercoolers on them in '86. By that time the GN's had been around a few years.

Didn't they use indycar blocks?

L8Brakr 11-16-2023 02:13 PM

If I'm not mistaken.....the engine builders did their magic starting with the stock blocks. They (Buick V-6'S) also showed up in a number of IMSA prototype chassis (turbo....GTP....or normally aspirated...GTP Lites). N/A's were also used in Indy Lites.

Sorry for the thread drift.
