2023 Baja 1000
Heck of a story,
It looks like a Dutch kid living in Australia, flew to San Diego bought a KTM 500. He rides the bike to La Paz to enter the Baja 1000 race, the tech people tell him he needed some parts and tires, he gets all the stuff and passes tech. He is going to race pro moto ironman, just him and a backpack. No support crew, no pre run. Runs second most of the race, it looks like he finished 8th in the Pro Moto Ironman, 1300 miles in 49 hours. Wouter-jan Van Dijk 741x Just amazing he even finished

He sounds like a modern day Burt Munroe
What an incredible experience for him and then to finish at the front too

This is what imagination, fortitude and tenacity look like!
Great story. Chapeau to Wouter-jan!

Wow, amazing. He'll have no problem getting sponsored next year if he chooses to run again. And plenty of volunteers to lend support too. I've ridden (slowly) parts of it and can't imagine 1300 miles wide open day and night through that desert

Absolutely amazing.
That is how I like to do things, just go try and see what happens. It’s easier than analysis paralysis trying to figure out what you ‘need’ to do and all the reasons you shouldn’t…
