How many miles is too many ?

I bought my Honda Fit around 7 years ago with 150K miles on it. The plan was to get one possibly two winters of driving out of it.

I ended up using it as a daily and kept it for almost 5 years. When I sold it, it had 260K miles and ran as new yet. Rust was getting a good start on the door bottoms.

I had never bought a car with over 100K on it before the Fit..

Wear goes in cycles. Every 100K just get ready to pay some big bucks. More cycles, more mileage.

My truck has 335K on it, but the drivetrain was just done <50K ago.
