![]() I always thought pants were worn through out history due to colder climates. If they wait for people like me to buy or have them tailored, their family would starve. https://www.archaeology.org/issues/146-1409/trenches/2381-china-worlds-oldest-pants Interesting how they know gusseted crotch allow ease of movent. I have had gusseted shorts and pants, they are great and doesn't press up against the boys Last edited by look 171; 12-27-2023 at 06:28 PM.. |

I wear shorts and t-shirt all summer, and change to Levi jeans in the winter months.

The original Levis had a rivet at the crotch to hold everything together. Cowboys quickly learned too never sit close to the fire as that rivet got really hot in a sensitive spot. Levi stopped putting a rivet there soon after.

There are many things in live I just don't understand at all. One of them is (mostly) women buying new jeans, with huge ripped jeans around the knees and legs. It looks stupid, but I am not know for my fashion sense. My wife would never wear old ripped jeans, and I have some work on the car or yard work jeans with a worn out knee, but it was from real work, not store bought holes.

I hate ripped knees on my work pants. I either patch them of toss them. As for the style there was a company here in the Sewer that employed people with angle grinders to mess up new jeans. True story. That was a while back too.
