[QUOTE=gsxrken;12164112]I'll give him high marks for athleticism.
He went over the desk like he had springs in his shoes...lol And I'm not sure but it looked as though there was a railing before the desk that he had to jump also. |
Best online comment so far:
"It's the court's fault for putting a trampoline in front of the bench." :)

I read that he was in custody when he appeared. Ok but if there is no jury present then why the civilian clothes?
Here if you are getting sentenced and in custody you are in orange scrubs, cuffed and shackled. I saw a sentencing today in felony court, defendant out on bond in front of judge in clothes w/o cuffs. No problem but deputies w/i arms length of him. Of course, I was there in case then needed backup. This will not end well for him. |

December 2022, I had a felony case in midst of sentencing plea. Judge ordered client to go to the cells and take a pee test to establish baseline number. He couldn't, didn't, wouldn't, stage fright or whatever.
When he came out he made a B line for the outer doors. I heard judge say, "where's he going". I looked up and saw him heading out. About the time he got to the double doors, judge said, "well that's it". I caught him in the hallway and asked him where the F he thought he was going. We went back inside. Judge honored the plea deal, BUT ordered him to jail pending the drug evaluation that was part of the plea deal. 18yo |
Up on lesser charges is the Judge's hair-dresser.

What's really messed up is that he wasn't remanded during that hearing. He was supposed to show up in court yesterday (Thursday) and from what I've read/heard he failed to appear.
|
^^^ You're saying that after he attacked the Judge, he was allowed to walk out the courtroom free?
Incredible, but I guess I'm not surprised. |

Redden failed to arrive for his initial court appearance for the new charges Thursday and is scheduled to be in court on Jan. 9 in front of Judge Diana Sullivan. His time in front of Holthus isn’t over as the two are scheduled to meet again on Jan. 8 for the initial sentencing hearing, according to the outlet. https://nypost.com/2024/01/05/news/vegas-judge-attacker-debora-redden-blames-courtroom-dustup-on-bad-day-claims-tried-to-kill-her-as-he-refuses-to-appear-in-court-report/ |
Is it reasonable to assume that the banshee screaming, "Stop! Y'all Stop!" is his loving momma or some family member?
Did she really think that would make them stop? https://media.giphy.com/media/TUtr2Ky56D4Zy/giphy.gif |
He's not out on bail. He never met his $54,000 bail (which would have taken $8,100 to get).
At the sentencing hearing, Redden wasn't shackled or in jail garb because he had been released from custody as part of a deal with prosecutors, in which he pleaded guilty in November to a reduced charge of attempted battery resulting in substantial injuries. He was initially charged in the baseball bat attack with assault with a deadly weapon, court records show. https://abc7chicago.com/las-vegas-judge-attacked-courtroom-video-deobra-delone-redden/14278251/ When he refused to appear after the courtroom attack, it was from jail. Redden has 3 felony convictions already. I think he'll be in prison for a long time now. There's a large, deep gash in a marshal's forehead that took 25 stitches from that scuffle and he dislocated his shoulder (because he tripped). The judge had some of her hair torn out, too. I hope he gets at least 15 years actual time. Society needs to stop allowing these multiple felony conviction thugs to go free after hardly any time; lock them up until they are no longer able to be a threat to anyone.
It's a small percentage of society and they use the courts and require police intervention on a non-stop basis- just stupid. They ruin everyone else's peaceful lives. |
